「The property advertised pictures, but the room did not meet expectations. The shower would not drain and had to be plunged multiple times. The walls were crumbling from maybe termite to white hands. They were bugs and roaches in the room. I would not recommend this property, especially for the price. There were other facility were much cheaper and seemed to be comparable or almost better.」

「Very nice hotel close to Issyk Kul. Lovely professional staff who were very helpful and provided exceptional service. Highly recommended. 」

「Friendly staff and great food at restaurant」

「Amazing stay. Friendly and super helpful staff. Felt like home. Super recommended 」

「It was a clean and pleasant room, although the windows won’t open so it got a little stuffy. It’s a little far from city center but was a good stay nonetheless. Staff is helpful. No problems.」

「Excellent guest house, very clean, friendly staff, very affordable, and very good breakfast. Short taxi ride or walk to shops and restaurants in Karakol」

「The hotel has been conceived in a modern style but there is certainly no upkeep. Broken fixtures, lack of cleanliness, hot shower not working, blocked drains and many other issues spoiled our stay. Breakfast served in the room was a big disappointment. For the money charged, it should have been much better rather than a nominal cold platter with no variety at all. After a lot of debate (that wasted our time and took us off our holiday mood), we got 25% of the booking amount paid back into our...

「Came for a week during the off-season (September). Good: Price was good, scenery was excellent, environment was peaceful and quiet, cabin was well-maintained with good cooking/sleeping/bathroom facilities. Bad: We didn’t realize the resort was in a park and entrance tickets needed to be purchased daily, including for Yandex (Russian Uber) drivers. In addition, the Yandex price was a whopping 4-5 times higher to go to Karakol from Ski Paradise compared to ordering a ride around town. Ugly:...

「Novel Hotel is a relatively modern resort on the shores of Lake Issyk-kul. It's location is at the far end of the strip of resorts centered around Cholpon-Ata. There are only a few General stores around the local Village and no restaurants, so eating options are restricted to the resort itself. The hotel restaurant, next to the swimming pool, provides good standard of food at a relatively expensive price. The big advantage of Novel is its frontage to a pleasant and private beach that although...
