Highly recommend to stay

It was great & cozy place. The owners are very helpful & will do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They’ll also help you out if you have any issues with anything in Zanzibar. Def a great place to just chill, relax, & let go.

Fun beach was wonderful

We actually got rebooked to Fun beach just next to villa the coco and it was a little paradise. Service was great, cottage and food was fresh and wonderful. Free breakfast was great. Only one improvement opportunity is adding more options to the general menu, it’s too limited for people staying for a long time.

Går ej bada på stranden

Fint hotell på stranden med trevlig personal. Tyvärr går det inte bada på stranden, vi bokade och inget fanns på hemsidan om detta. Det är stora skillnader i tidvatten och det går bara bada vid högvatten, även då är botten påverkad av tidvattnet men det är ändå möjligt.

Excellent staff and service

We were very happy with our 7 day stay. Super friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere was warmer and more relaxed than some of the other hotels and resorts along Jambiani beach. The beach immediately in front of the resort is good for swimming, depending on the time of day and what the tide is doing. When we were there, the tide was high ~1 hour later every day (i.e. day 1=10 am, day 2=11am etc) and is no deeper than ~3 feet. Quite a lot of seaweed, but you get used to that. At times, the sand can get very sludgy, like mud. I would suggest the rooms could be improved with AC, a fridge and perhaps a complimentary daily bottle of water. There were a few electricity blackouts, water shortages and crummy wifi. But, its not fair to criticize the hotel for this. These issues are common across the island.

Piccolo gioiello immerso in uno splendido giardino curato nei minimi dettagli. Staff veramente fantastico, tutti gentilissimi e simpaticissimi, creano un'armosfera molto piacevole e rilassante, cibo ottimo! Spiaggia tranquilla dove fare lunghissime passeggiate su una sabbia candida che sembra borotalco. A pochi minuti a piedi verso Paje si raggiunge una grande lingua di sabbia che crea una laguna incantevole. Il fenomeno delle maree è un valore aggiunto su tutta la costa est, ma qui il variare dei colori del mare è ancora più intenso e lo si può vivere in tutta tranquillità. Torneremo sicuramente!

I liked that it was right on the beach,didn’t like the over pricing of the food there, as it was mediocre. Also the lack of AC I spent only two nights and hardly slept, one night as it was very humid, I had all windows open and ceiling fan on but it was useless. The other night I was able to sleep a bit as the humidity decreased a bit.

My stay at Villa de Coco was enjoyable. The breakfast was not great only instant coffee. The room also didn’t have air con, only a fan. The staff was awesome, and the beach was lovely.

all the comfort you can expect at a 3 star hotel

middle range villas, bed decorated every day with fresh exotic flowers. beautiful garden and beach, pool available, beach super close, very friendly staff and ready to go the extra mile and accomplish every request. simple breakfast with simple ingredients but found it so sweet and was curious every morning what delicious breakfast the cooks would prepare for us :)

Great Resort!

Villa de Coco is a beautiful, simple gem of a resort located along a beautiful beach. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food from the restaurant is great. Another great thing for a resort of this size - the restaurant had everything on the menu available! This place is a good value for the money and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms would benefit from some darker curtains and the bar could use some new music, but otherwise we were very satisfied!

Gutes Mittelklassehotel mit top Lage

Die kleine Anlage ist um einen wunderschön angelegten Garten arrangiert und besteht aus mehreren kleinen Bungalows ohne AC. Der Strandzugang ist direkt am Garten und man liegt wirklich direkt am Strand. Dieses ist ein wesentlicher Unterschied zu den anderen Anlagen entlang der Beach.Ansonsten sind die 3 Sterne okay. Sehr sauber, es wird täglich gereinigt. Personal ist super freundlich

Resort is nice and clean.Beautiful garden but that’s about it.Staff at bar will not say hi or tell you even good morning at breakfast.Wifi is very POOR.No WiFi at rooms only at bar area and constantly dropping off.Out of 10 days wifi did not work 3 days and nobody seem to care.All the time have to remind staf that WiFi does not work.Bathrooms could be more clean.Room was very dark and need AC as too hot could not sleep properly. Resort is located in very boring area nothing is around you have to walk to Paje(40min) or rent a bicycle if you want little bit of nightlife or see some other places.
