"Lovely hotel, great location on sea front, bedroom we had, with terrace room, was big but the bathroom needed attention, grouting missing and tiles needed replacing, great breakfast , air conditioning was fantastic, would definitely go again"

"This is a lovely hotel, with a hint of grandeur when you enter. We had a very nice room overlooking the pool, and it was serviced daily. The staff were very pleasant, and those on reception especially helpful. Breakfast was self service in an airy and spacious dining room, and there was plenty of variety on the buffet. The Savoy is also perfectly located for the town centre, just a 10 minute walk away. In summary, this is a wonderful place to stay!"

"Sheets and towels were a bit stained and the bed and pillow were hard and not very comfortable. But the building is beautiful and located just a 15minute walk out the of the main area. We enjoyed our stay overall."

"We were in the cheapest room type so we weren't expecting a view but in fact we could see sideways across the bay and inland which was very green. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished with plenty of storage. It had two chairs and a little table which means you don't always have to sit on the bed. Teas, milks and biscuits were topped up daily which is by no means the case in all hotels. The breakfast was acceptable, some good additional choices can be ordered instead of the buffet. A fan was provided, there is no Aircon. I wouldn't have liked the room in the hot weather as it was at the top of the hotel so quite warm even in September. Good deep bath. No fridge. Good location with parking for touring, though the exit/ entrance is a bit tricky. Steps down if walking to the bus stop or the sea. Restaurant meals are good, reservations needed. The restaurant and bar seem to merge a bit, which is a little confusing, but you can easily just order a drink. The soundproofing wasn't good so ear plugs might be useful but overall it is a good hotel."

"The hotel is an attractive Edwardian building right on the seafront. A large car park at the rear had spaces the whole of my stay. The room was light and airy, clean and well maintained. The shower had a decent pressure with plenty of hot water. The room had a vanity basin and unit with a mirror which meant plenty of space for toiletries and the dedicated light made it perfect for applying makeup. The breakfast was freshly cooked, including the fried eggs on the buffet. On Friday nights there is an all you can eat buffet which was splendid, and included fresh oysters and other excellent seafood as well as roasts, pasta dishes, salads, puddings and cheeses. Helpful and friendly staff ensured I felt welcome and was valued as a customer."
