Very comfortable place and well equipped. Enjoyed the trails to walk on. Quiet place, min to no noise between units. Only negative was check in. Email had wrong gate code to get in at the start of email and different code later in email. Caused difficulty getting in. Called but no response till we emailed next day. No further issues

Close to do much on the north shore
We choose this location because of the reviews. While it is in Turtle Bay resort, you do need to drive to get to the actual resort if you are carrying items to the beach. The listing states a/c. There is a/c, however, it is a small window unit that took 24 hours to make it fairly comfortable on the lower level. The loft stayed quite warm the entire time, which is where the bed is. The room was very clean and the added beach gear was greatly appreciated. There are really nice beaches nearby and plenty of food along the road if you don’t want to eat at the resort.

Unit was small and not well equipped for prepping and cooking meals. Property managers gave us an outdated code for the entry gate. We couldn't get the TV to work, had issues with the volume level being stuck and property managers took over 24 hours to respond. Bathroom is located downstairs, Toilet paper was "see-thru", upstairs bedroom loft ceiling was so low that neither of us could walk upright. Washer/dryer had a warning sign on it about the lint trap having to have water in it yet no instructions as to how to do this, plus it was too tall for me to reach, so we didn't use it.

The gate was recently updated to a new system and a few of our incoming guests were issued the old code (the ones who booked many months ahead of the change..). We apologize you were among them and promptly provided you with the new access code. We have gone above and beyond to take professional photos of this unit as well as videos for our guests to see the layout inside and the exterior of the unit as well. We have updated our listing to note the bathroom on the first floor, per your comment and thank you for pointing that detail out to us for future guests' knowledge. For many years, we have had consistent high ratings with this unit and work hard to keep in that status. Using the words "Renter Beware" is really damaging to us and our team that depends on these rentals for our livelihood. We kindly ask you to reconsider your title... Beautiful property in the perfect location!
We absolutely loved our stay! The mid-century vibe of the space was very nice and homey and VERY clean and well-organized. The amenities were top notch (luxury bath products, soft robes, etc…) and the extra touches were SO appreciated! The property managers were incredibly helpful and communicative! We can’t recommend this stay strongly enough! 10/10!

Great stay!
We loved our stay here. The condo was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable, which is a must while on vacation. Although we didn’t use the beach towels and beach gear, it’s nice that they are supplied. It’s a bonus that not all condos have. We have stayed in many different condos here and I believe this was the most comfortable.

Cute condo at Turtle Bay
The condo is stylish, clean and perfect for two! The property manager was responsive and lovely—checking in and out was a breeze. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cookware. The available beach chairs and towels, fins and snorkels were a nice bonus. Beachfront trails at the resort make delightful hikes. I highly recommend this property and would love to stay again.

North Shore Turtle Bay
The property is located next to Turtle Bay Resort. This is perfect to access the resort for the beach, excellent restaurants and golf. If you are tall, the loft area where the bed is located is about 4 feet tall when you stand up to get out of bed. You will hit your head a few times before you are used to it. The bed is a standard double. Not very comfortable. Pillows and sheets could be upgraded for more comfort.

Stressed out waiting to get in
To whom it may concern We were in contact with our property manager Diana Novoselic the day we were supposed to move in.The next morning I texted her and requested an early check in.I didn't hear back.I went to the gate to get buzzed in at the right time and still no answer.I had to get another car to back out that was behind me.I tried again an hour later but still no answer and backed away from the gate again.I ended up going back to Turtle Bay and calling VRBO until my cell phone died.I texted Diana again with my wife's cell phone and then used the hotels landline to call VRBO.After being on hold for 15 minutes the elusive Diana calls my wife's cell phone and tells us that she had a bad day.Well we did too .I was just about to ask them to check us in when Diana called.I found the instruction sheet given to us was very confusing .Diana was supposed to open the gate when we put the code in and we weren't given the lock box number.This is our first and last experience with VRBO.We were very happy with the accommodations. Dear Ian, I'm so terribly sorry that you had a difficult time reaching me that day. We are often on the road at the various properties and can be in remote areas with little or no reception at times, therefore, we do provide our guests with alternative/ after hours entry instructions so that anyone can easily enter the complex and get to their unit. I'm so sorry that you did not choose to utilize this option you were provided, as you would have been able to get in much quicker. Great Week at Turtle Bay
This rental was the perfect size. I was a single traveler with friends staying across the way in Turtle Bay East Condos. It was clean, nicely decorated and well stocked. The washer wasn’t working, so that was a bummer. However, the cleaning contact there picked up my clothes and did a few loads of wash for me. Then, when she brought it back, I was able to dry it at the condo. I also felt very safe as a single traveler in the complex. People were very friendly and it was well lit and maintained. My friends and I are talking about making this an annual trip, so I will definitely try to make sure I can rent this unit again if/when I go back.

Met our expectations
Nice condo with all the amenities we needed. We had stayed at the Turtle Bay Resort 10 years ago and wanted to return to that area, but the hotel is so expensive. This condo was a perfect cost- savings alternative. It is a bit of a walk to the ocean but we didn't mind. No complaints at all.

Cozy Place, great location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this place. I was able to get in touch easily with the owner for both check-in information and maintenance issues. Owner was able to work around our schedule for fixing sink issues. Condo was very clean and had everything we needed. Only recommendation I have is providing a map of the area with check-in instructions. We came in late at night and had trouble finding which condo we rented. A map of Turtle Bay with location of condo would have been very helpful.

Cozy, and very clean.
Stayed here for one week for our honeymoon, and it was great! Simple, nice flat that has all you'll need for a great vacation! Very clean, and spacious, loved our stay here. Being Located on the North end of the island made our time in Hawaii way better, less people and traffic. Diana was very helpful months leading to arriving in Hawaii to the very last day of our stay. We will definitely be back and will recommend this wonderful spot to family and friends!

Was EXACTLY as described! Loved it!!
This condo with loft was really comfortable during my recent stay. I was happy to see that there was a lot of thought put into the decor and details, such as extra fans for the loft, which really stays cool when the fans are on and the windows are open, which I prefer over AC running. I needed a quiet escape from my busy work schedule and I was able to do so many things, like play a round of golf, walk to the beach every morning, and also walk to the resort for lunch or dinner.. LOVED Roy's right on the beach after morning sunning! The kitchen was really ample for this small apartment and I was able to make all my other meals really nicely with well appointed appliances and utensils.. One of the best features for me was the black-out curtains that I could close for mid-day naps.. when I did use the AC because it was naturally hotter at this time of day.. I will definitely come again and may not even rent a car next time! You won't be disappointed! I left completely relaxed and felt away from it all...

Awesome location and decoration, very clean and quiet.
We loved the space charm and Diana's aloha. But, despite a nice and full kitchen, don't have any kitchen benches to dinner or breakfast on the condo. Weird. Other needs, in our view, could be 2 beach chairs for guests (there was one and we leave other for the next guest). A better (less noise) air conditioner could be good as well. The space where bed is located (mezzanine) is really stuffy and needs to run air for many hours before you can use it (a non sense in Hawaii's save energy mind). Aloha!

Thank you Claudio, I am going to get another TV tray, as there is no room in the kitchen for stools.. There are also two extra fans in the unit for times when it gets hot.. yes, that loft can get stuffy during the daytime, as the sun beats on the rooftop, but does cool down nicely at night... Thank you for your nice comments about the cleanliness and decor, that is our priority for our guests~

Unimpressive/Unfortunate
It feels very unfortunate to write this review but I can't understand how this is rated nearly 5 star, when it’s not even close, based on our experience. We read the rental agreement (prior to arriving) and list of expectations (upon arrival) so we knew the guidelines very well. We followed all the rules EXACTLY so we didn't do anything wrong and could get our Security Deposit refunded. The rules state that you will be charged for stained laundry. We went to purchase washcloths/towels the morning after we arrived so we didn't accidently stain any of the ones that were provided. While away, I received a text message stating that the brooms needed to be pulled in off of the walkway because of a fire hazard. (We didn't place the brooms where they were, they were left as-is.) Funny thing is, there was not one smoke detector mounted in the unit. Every smoke detector was physically pulled. The place absolutely reeked upon arrival. The closest I could come up with for the potential odor was possibly the kitchen disposal. We bought air fresheners. The light switches/fixtures are labeled incorrectly/don’t work/are unpredictable. The water pressure is seriously lacking – this should be emphasized exponentially. Rust in shower and at kitchen sink. The washer and dryer are severely dated – fill a container with water to catch the lint/lid doesn’t close properly. We NEVER left food out, took the garbage out regularly, and cleaned dishes immediately after use. Unfortunately, FIVE huge cockroaches visited us during our stay!  This made us feel incredibly dirty and even angry! It does get very warm in the loft, and since you're not supposed to leave the air conditioning running during the day, your only source of relief are the fans. The fans were low budget and dirty so they didn’t perform well. Two lights in the loft were burnt out. The mattress is firm but you could feel the coils in it. A picture can tell a 1000 words - there’s also a 1000 words it CANNOT tell you and they may be UNFAVORABLE! Compliments I can give because I feel that credit is due where deserved! The unit does have extremely hot water(!), a decent hairdryer, is a quick walk to Turtle Bay and short drive to North Shore beaches/towns. The property manager is very nice but that cannot take away from the fact that the place needs some TLC/investment or the pictures/description of the unit should not make it seem like it’s upscale/ultimate/5 star. Cared for it like it was ours!!!

Aloha~ This review is so off the mark, I had to read it twice... we get mostly 5-star reviews for this upgraded unit. This is very unfortunate, because we had guests that stayed in the unit prior to this visit who did not care for the apartment and ended up flooding the bathroom. This is why there may have been some issue with water pressure. Now that I know, I'll have the plumbers check on that to make adjustments. There are some things that are not brand new, however, our cleaners make sure to do a very thorough cleaning and we just had the unit deep cleaned. We have a quarterly pest control company that treats the entire unit and the building does its own pest control for the exterior common areas. Because this complex is on a golf course, and we live in a tropical environment, we all deal with pests here in Hawaii in every building and home. So it depends on how you keep the screens and doors closed tight, etc. Sometimes the smoke detectors make noise and people take them down. I'll look at that too. We have installed new ones not long ago as well and they are likely in the drawers. As for the smell.. I'm not sure what that could have been.. perhaps a frog or something died outside.. I would have gladly came to help you with any of these issues if you would have called me to come and check things out. We really strive for the best and it seems that we need to make a few more adjustments to the apartment after the bad experience we had with the previous guests. My sincerely apologies~ Diana

Great location and price for two
We enjoyed our stay here very much. A 12 min walk to Turtle Bay Resiort - where I worked out every morning in a beautiful gym overlooking the ocean. We golfed the Arnold Palmer and Fauzio courses which were in excellent shape. This condo is exactly as shown. Very clean, updated, and nicely decorated. One thing to mention is there is not an eating area, but the comfy cushioned orange chairs serve well for dining and watching TV. The loft was a little warm at night, but they supply lots of fans and the A/C works well. Well equipped kitchen and did enjoy having the Bullet to create wonderful shakes each morning. Great rental for the price!
We stayed here for 44 nights. Lovely place and very economical. The unit was right off the golf fairway and close to the Turtle Bay entrance. It was a little bit of a walk to the beach and hotel, but only 10 minutes or so. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful view of the mountains. The unit is an efficiency with the bedroom upstairs in an open loft. Full kitchen. We would stay here again.

Great week on the north shore
We had a family reunion week here, with activities everyone enjoyed-- horseback riding, the zip line, snorkeling trips, swimming and monk seal watching at the Keikei pool on turtle bay, hikes, and delicious food at Lei lei's and Roy's as well as shrimp at the famous food trucks. Our condo was newly applianced and furnished with beautiful hand crafted stairway and surfboard as well as very tasteful art.

Clean and homey
We stayed at this property for 9 days and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The property was clean and provided all the comforts of home. It was in a well taken care of gated community at Turtle Bay. We made use of the charcoal BBQs by the pool area, quick walk to the resort and the trails around were great for. Morning hike. The fruit stand down the street offered fresh fruit and early in the morning fresh Macadamia Banana Bread. I highly recommend this condo if you are looking for a true home away from home. We took advantage of exploring the North Shore and local restaurants. Seven Brothers Burger and Fries was fantastic, menu was in the binder at the condo. Lei Leis was awesome it is located at the Fazio Club House, we ate there 3 times, our meals where beyond spectacular. It fills up fast so either go early or after 8pm. We took advantage of the sunsets at Turtle Bay Resort with Drinks from The Pool Bar. Everyone in this area was super friendly and always greeted us, even though we were not staying at the Resort. The property manager was great to deal with and quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. Mahalo Dave and Roxane

Adorable condo
We enjoyed our stay in Kuilima - our family had rented multiple units. This property was cozy and perfect for two of us. The owner provided us with excellent customer service and was attentive during our stay. We had a small issue with the dishwasher which was quickly resolved.

Great North Shore location
The place was very clean, had AC, and was walking distance to Turtle Bay or a quick drive to many great beaches. Diana was very helpful and accommodating!
