In the Jungle...

Cozy. The night noise of the birds and inhabitants of the "honey i shrunk the kuds jungle yard" (its actually amazing) was a bit nervewracking the first night but then your used to it (after shutting every possible window-ut drowns em out) trust that the heavy steppers upstairs were WAY NOISIER then the jungle yard. Very clean. Bring your own bed pillows cause those suckers are flat and thin. Comfy bed! Convenient washer & dryer. Home is definetely off the beaten path but you wont get rosd noises for sure. All in all we would definitely stay here again if we return to Kona! :)

Nothing bad to say at all. Nanette and her coworker whose name escapes me provided the best stay you can imagine. You are staying in a beautiful neighborhood of locals, so respect that you are on vacation, but those living around you have work. That being said, no noise issues at all, but let me tell you the sounds of wildlife are so amazing and as calming as the sounds of being at the beach. This was the ultimate experience for me.

Dall'annuncio avevamo capito che la casa era nel verde, ma mai avremmo immaginato di essere in una vera e propria foresta. Bellissimo fare colazione sul terrazzo con i gechi e i frutti a vista (un po' rumoroso la notte per via delle rane coqui poiché nonostante gli infissi ottimi il suono è comunque percepibile... noi abbiamo dormito con i tappi). Casa carinissima con tutto l'occorrente per un soggiorno confortevole (si può cucinare un po' di cosine alla buona poiché ci sono solo due pentole e le stoviglie sono contate, ma per noi è andato benissimo). Letto comodo, asciugamani sempre puliti che si possono prendere nella zona lavanderia, stendino sul terrazzo, appendiabiti, TV, macchina del caffè, ma soprattutto le padrone di casa sempre disponibili e cortesi. Pulizia un po' approssimativa (un po' di polvere e.sotto al letto abbiamo trovato cicche e tappi di bottiglia), ma ci sono i prodotti per pulire ed igienizzare stanza e sanitari a portata di mano. Un po' lontano il centro città, ma se si ha la macchina non è assolutamente limite

Need floor fan, also the elder lady of host entered our room on second day without any notice and said this isn’t right, then left, leaving the door open and walked away. Not sure what was she was doing.

Great Tropical Retreat

Well-appointed apartment with a large and lovely wrap around balcony surrounded by jungle. Minutes from downtown. Perfect for a couple looking for a special quiet place.

Excellent place to stay - clean - owner very attentive to your needs

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this VRBO. It has been an excellent experience both times. The Aloha is outstanding !

The walls were very thin, the plumbing very noisy. Roosters and turkeys next door, plus the noise of other guests talking detracted from enjoyment. The kitchenette was minimal at best and had no easy place for washing dishes. Best for making toast, soup and similar simple dishes. The units were clean and larger than expected which was good. Overall, a weak four star.

Uncomfortable and cheap furnishing. Noisy tenants upstairs.

We booked and paid for this studio for 2 weeks and only stayed 3 nights. Unfortunately the interior furniture and bed were uncomfortable and in need of upgrades. We just could not get comfortable at night while hanging out inside. It is not advertised as being downstairs. Noise from the upstairs unit was disturbing; you can hear normal talking voices, toilet flushing, water running, and kitchen appliances being used. We have rented many VRBO's and travel extensively but this unit is not worth the money. It should be priced at about $80/night for what you get. We asked the owners for a partial refund and they declined to refund a cent even though we vacated the studio after only 3 days. We rented a nice hotel in town for the same cost for the remaining 12 days of our vacation. Renters beware; the place looks cute, but it is not worth the money. I've stayed in hostels that had better accommodations for a lot less cost.

Always leave wanting more; we did!

The "Hibiscus" room was perfect for our vacation. We spent every morning relaxing on the large lanai feeling the warm breezes. Our view of huge hibiscus flowers, banana and papaya trees was just lovely. The room was clean and large, our bed was comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook when we wanted to eat in. Truly we wanted for nothing. Two days in and I was planning our return. The location is great; easy to get to Kona and points south and getting to points north. Nanette and Anne are warm and welcoming, I enjoyed our conversations. This room is perfect for couples. It is obvious-loved it!

Beautiful land scaling well cared for building

Everything we needed was provided. Well stocked kitchen utensils.towels and laundry .
