Great location & view!

The view from the condo balcony was amazing! Carpet needs replacing and bed is a little hard, but we were not here long enough for that to matter too much! Kitchen is well stocked.

A Coastal Haven in Kailua-Kona

My stay was a delightful Hawaiian escape. The highlight is the huge lanai, perched right on the ocean, where waves crash dramatically against lava rocks below. This spacious patio was my go-to spot for morning coffee, soaking in Pacific views, or unwinding to the ocean’s soothing rhythm. It’s an unbeatable front-row seat to Kona’s coastal beauty.The condo’s screen doors allow one to enjoy the crash of the surf all night adding charm to the stay. While the interior feels slightly dated and could benefit from a modern refresh, it’s clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The full kitchen, cable TV, and ceiling fans met all our needs, and the king-size bed ensured restful nights. The open layout maximizes ocean views, blending indoor comfort with the stunning surroundings.Access to shared amenities—heated pool, hot tub, and BBQ area—elevated the experience. Nearby beaches, shopping, and dining in Kailua-Kona were easily accessible, yet the lanai’s serenity kept us anchored. The vibrant sunsets and starry nights left us refreshed.The oceanfront lanai and relaxed vibe made this a memorable retreat. We left recharged and eager to return.

Good condo.

We have stayed at Kona Bali Kai several times before , really like everything thing about it. The other units had been updated. This unit is in definite need of an update. In the future we will look for one of the other units.

My stay was incredible! Honest to goodness the condo surpasses the pictures. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I love the communication from the property manager. Highly highly recommend booking this property! I will be back 100%!!

Great Location - Turtle viewing at your lanai

This was a fine place to stay and relax. On site staff was prompt and helpful resolving a few small issues on arrival. We had read the old reviews and previous posts about the carpet condition and dresser, although we mistakenly assumed these items were attended to. We had to wear our shoes due to the stained, crusty and overall unfortunate carpet. The dresser in the closet remained unusable, (smells horrid). Owners might take a visit and review these things as well as the kitchenware situation. So, many, wine glasses, only 2 bowls (1 plastic) and 2 salad plates. That being said, there were necessary dinner plates and glassware as well as numerous other kitchenware items were pleasant to have. We would stay again if the flooring was replaced and the dresser removed. Bonus was having 2 beach chairs and boogie boards!

The place was everything we needed. Nice patio and nice to have beach equipment. It is a long walk to restaurants and shops from the location if you don’t have a vehicle.

Beautiful beach view but needs upgrades

we have stayed at Kona Bali Kai several times and the ocean view from the Lani is breathtaking. However this unit is in need of upgrades. the couch is so worn the foam is showing thru the cushions. and the chest of drawers has a terrible smell. The condo was clean kudos to the cleaners

Exactly what the doctor called for

Location was wonderful and the view was exactly what we were looking for. Definitely dated decor as shown in the pictures so no surprises there. The place lived bigger than it looks in the pictures. Washer and dryer appear to have been replaced recently. The only surprise was having 1.5 bath instead of advertised 1 bath. The tub in the extra bathroom was out of order but since it was a bonus bathroom anyways it was a very nice extra to have. Minor maintenance concerns but nothing needing immediate interaction and worth posting here. The cleaning crew did a very very nice job. This portion exceeded our expectations.

Vacation saved by local manager Samantha and the folks at vacasa

We rented unit 318 of the Bali Kai. We had stayed at the Bali Kai many times. Through the internet it seemed like the unit I was fine but upon arrival we immediately noticed many problems. One of the showers was not working, the furniture was dirty, there was a moldy smell in the dresser in the closet, the refrigerator was vey rusty. Etc. Samantha was wonderful Ans worked with he central office to give us another unit. We were very very happy here.

Property could use an update, it’s seen better day but the ocean front deck & ocean breezes makes up for it. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was the best! Also, awesome local poke shack on premises. Great surf spot right out front.

We were disappointed in the condition of the condo. We have stayed another condos at the same location and they were much much nicer. The condo is very dated and really needs to be upgraded. Furnishings also lower end. Location is excellent right on the beach

Great location and views. Property really needs updates/upgrades as it's aged and worn (furniture, carpet, bed). Of most concern was that the floors were dirty. I would recommend upgrading the carpet to hard surface flooring.

Pillows and worn sofa

I loved my stay but the bed pillows were really sub-standard. I borrowed one from my kid's pent house suite for my stay. The sofa was torn and threadbare. It was hard to look at. Other than that, my condo was extremely comfortable and super to come home to every day that I was in Kona. Thank you.
