"The last review of this property was over two years ago, and I’m not sure where the photos were taken from. Dark, damp and mouldy facilities. Bucket and mop in shower and no toilet paper. I had to leave within the first hour of arriving. There was no mention that this place is a public place for turtles, and there were strangers sitting at your front door. Just did not feel well with the odour in the room. I just hope the turtles have better accommodations."

"I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this hotel owner. We paid $2,700 for what was clearly sold to us as a 3-day tour, but after payment it was suddenly reduced to only 2 days with no proper explanation or refund. To make matters worse, we were left at the airport without any transportation arranged, despite this being part of what was discussed. "I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...

Conseguiram um transporte para o hotel, me conseguiram outro hotel e as meninas que trabalham lá são ótimas. Os quartos são lindos, com decoração africana e muito limpos. "MINUS 10 STARS!! Went from bad to worse from the time we arrived. From having a mess in 1 room since they were building a bed, no toiletries at all as mentioned, Water was not working properly; lights went off in 1 room and the ac and water not working in another. Then went in total darkness with no back-up generator available and we were told it happens all the time. Staff was hard to find even with a 'reception' area. All around a horrible experience. Plus, we forgot to take 1 item...

"Well... we should i start.. first of all..i am quite relaxed about stays ,not to fuzzy at all. check inn is non existent ..carry your luggage up the stairs yourself.. the rooms are horrendous , the matras was torn on several places ,the room was absolutely not clean.. big bugs on the walls, The water was almost every day cut off ,let alone be warm water for showering ,the staff is 1! girl whos rather on her phone than working . i stayed 17 nights ( because paid upfront) there was one other...

"Wonderful stay. Z2 hotel is lovely and we had access to everything in Z1. I travel a lot and this was my favorite resort stay I’ve ever had. The staff members are WONDERFUL and I felt so lucky to get to know them. Sam, Raheema, Nora, and Abdullah are just a few of the wonderful staff members that made me feel like I was at home."

"We only stayed one night, but really enjoyed it and wish we had more nights here. It recently opened so the areas are in good condition and nice lounge areas with amazing view. The beds were comfortable. We only got to try the «buffet» for lunch which was quite nice. Not that many guests for now which I liked."

"Out of all the Riu hotels this was our favorite. Amazing location and views from the room. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Only the bed was a bit firm for my taste, but the staff got us an extra mattress which made it better. They are really serviceminded. Would love to return some time!"

"The Mora is set in beautifully manicured gardens a few yards from a lovely white sandy beach. Our room was nice and quiet, always clean and well looked after. We tended to use the pool area mostly during the day - which was lovely and comfortable with a great drinks service. Food was good and varied throughout our stay - visit the Jikan for a premium sushi experience - excellent. The most impressive thing for us was the Staff who were always so polite and happy and helpful every single day - they all made us feel very welcome. "
