The Neighborhood:
The distance from Thessaloniki Airport is 92.5 km, and the estimated travel time is 1 hour and 15 minutes via a safe highway. It is an ideal base for excursions, not only to nearby villages such as Kallithea, Athytos, and Sani, but also to the entire Halkidiki region, Mount Athos, and Thessaloniki.
Hanioti is located on the first leg of Halkidiki, Kassandra, and is 101 km from Thessaloniki. It is a picturesque tourist resort, with pedestrian streets, a long beach and many green parks where you and your children can play but also seek moments of peace and quiet.
During the summer months, the center of Chanioti is pedestrianized and in its narrow streets there are many shops, bars, cafes, fish taverns and restaurants. An afternoon or evening walk in the center of Chanioti will impress you. It is one of the busiest areas of Halkidiki and is suitable for family holidays, however there are bars and clubs where you can have fun all night long.
On the large beautiful beach of the village, which extends below the beach park, there are many beach bars that offer free sunbeds and umbrellas as well as water sports for rent. On the right side of the beach is the well-known Molos beach bar which is a destination for many young people, as the almost daily parties that are organized include dance music by famous DJs.
In addition to the beach of the village, we would suggest you to choose to visit Glarokavos in Pefkohori and the famous beaches in Paliouri with crystal clear waters and beach bars teeming with life. Hanioti is an ideal destination for your stay as the distances from the points of interest of Halkidiki are close and the village is not as noisy as Kallithea or Pefkohori.

You can drive to Halkidiki via the existing road network. The beauty of Halkidiki is unique and having your own car is the best opportunity to explore every corner of it. In this way you can reach places that are not accessible by any means of public transport or by the local tourist offices.

By plane:
Halkidiki does not have its own airport. However, the International Airport MACEDONIA of Thessaloniki is the closest airport which is located just 16 kilometers from the center of Thessaloniki and serves visitors who want to travel by air.
