Classic Comfy Bach

We had a great time here with our young family and dog. The bach is a classic kiwi holiday home, renovated to keep it comfortable. Nicely decorated and maintained. Has all the amenities you need.Lots of great things to do in the area, including the hot water beach, fishing, Marakopa Falls and the natural bridge. Will recommend.

Fresh fish a bonus!

Appreciated the quiet surroundings, the fire and the provision of the pre-cut logs and pine cones, the comfortable beds, the quality of the crockery, cutlery and utensils. The weather on the Saturday was hot, dry with not a cloud in sight so we fished from the wharf, which was only a few minutes away, and were rewarded with large trevally - caught on squid bait. Aotea beach was worth the 20 minute drive, fished for a while from the beach until it clouded over, returned to the bach just as it started raining, lit the fire, relaxed to play board games followed by our home cooked roast dinner. What a great way to spend three 'winter' days away, wish we had booked in for longer - will do next time! (A couple of notes: toilet seat needs attention, an outside light would be helpful and instructions for the tv.) Thank you Roberta for your friendliness and understanding and for letting us use your 'home away from home', we had a memorable time and hope we are able to visit again at a later date.

Nice compact place to stay, a bit rusty traditional kiwi bach with a fireplace. Our host was very easy to communicate. Only a few minutes walk to the wharf.

A wonderful and relaxing Bach in Kāwhia

The little Bach is a relaxing and perfectly located for down time in a great little beach town. We could walk everywhere we needed to go and everything we would expect to find in the house was there. Roberts was easy to reach and communicated well. I really appreciate her attention, we felt welcome and at home. I highly recommend a stay in Kahwia.
