“Stayed here as it was close to Woodhill Hall, wedding venue. The place was lovely and the staff were so welcoming. We stayed for 2 nights and it really is good value for money. ”
“Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. ”
“Absolutely beautiful property, we had an amazing view of the river tweed and the gardens are lovely to walk around. You are in walkable distance to everything in Kelso which is great.”
“This is a lovely hotel with a friendly welcome.
If you've been walking then you'll really appreciate the deep hot bath.
There a nice bar with food service downstairs and breakfast was great. ”
“Lovely clean property, slept 5 people, very warm and cosy in a lovely quiet location on a working farm. Had everything we needed and more, owner was very helpful and generous. Great lication for waljs and visiting surrounding areas within short distances to travel.”
“Had a really great 2 night stay. Room was lovely, so comfortable. It was a great period style - but still provided for today’s needs - great wi-if, large shower, plenty of sockets. Ellen looked after us really well and couldn’t do enough for us. As for the breakfast - superb! Great choices and didn’t need lunch! ”
“The room rate was great for the area. Beds were comfortable and overlooked fields of wheat, and views of Bamburgh castle in the distance. Considering the location next to a busy road it was quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful when a bath mat was requested.
Beds were comfortable and the room had all the basics. Bathroom was small but nothing out of the standard for a hotel of this price bracket.
I had the cooked veggie breakfast which was tasty and a good sized portion. ”
“We had a fabulous 4 night stay at the Holly Bush. As soon as we stepped into the pub, we received a warm greeting from the new owners and staff.
The pub is at the heart of the community and welcomes a mix of both locals and guests, which makes it a special place to stay. Everyone seems relaxed and happy to chat to each other which makes for a really pleasant atmosphere.
The chef is excellent and cooks a variety of dishes which he constantly updates. We were so impressed that we ate there……
“Every where in the hotel was very clean and well presented, the dining room was spacious and comfortable, breakfasts were amazing. The bar was also good and although we didn't eat the food looked good. The hotel and bar are very dog friendly. Everyone was warm and welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay. If in the area we would definitely stay here again”
