This is also a popular cycling area if you want to bring your bikes. The old market town of Kendal, famous for its annual mountain festival and mint cake is a short drive away. In addition, Bowness-on-Windermere is only 20 minutes away. Here you can take a cruise across the lake, visit Beatrix Potter World, Windermere Jetty Museum, or experience the array of shops, bars, and restaurants. Levens village, 5 minutes’ drive away has a very well-stocked village shop.
