Let me first say that this is the first poor rating I have ever given a hotel room and I have stayed at hundreds, including AirB&B's worldwide. First the good attributes, the bed was pretty comfortable, and the air conditioner worked well. When we first entered the room, you first notice a 2'X2' piece of carpet has been patched and you realize how stained the carpet is. The patched piece is at least 3 shades lighter. There is also a big carpet tear in front of the bathroom door. There was a strong odor of bleach when we went in. At first I'm thinking, well at least its clean but after a few minutes we had to open the door because my wife's eyes were burning. I would have tried the window but these were so old and rickety I was afraid I'd never get them closed again. The place is really beat. The dresser was something left over at the flea market. You know, an old wood thing that looks like it came from a dorm room and it's been painted at least 3 times because all the chips show layers of paint. The bathroom appeared clean (maybe an illusion from the bleach smell) until you see the hair in the corners. The shower curtain rack had half the chrome off it and the mirror had a big spot that didn't reflect. The toilet rocked so badly that I could hear the tile cracking on the sides and I am not a huge guy. The door to the room shut and locked properly but the door to the building didn't shut well and half the time we came, in the door opened without the required code.
