Shipyard Condominiums are located in the prestigious gated community of Truman Annex in Key West’s Old Town neighborhood. The condos are located 2 blocks from Duval Street and many Key West attractions. The properties are also ¼ mile from Fort Zachary Taylor State Park and Beach. The property is outfitted with washer/dryer, pots/pans, towels, linens, have central air conditioning, off street parking, and pool access. This home is a 2 story style townhouse. Pelican’s Perch is a tropical, Caribbean-themed cottage. The kitchen is equipped with Stainless Steel Appliances. Take a three-minute walk to Duval Street for dining and entertainment, a five-minute walk to Sunset Pier, a 10-minute walk to Fort Taylor Beach, a one-minute walk to the Truman Annex pool or, simply stay put and relax. Situated on one of Key West’s most beautiful streets, its front porch is a great place to watch the world go by while rocking in the chairs and viewing parades and Key West's colorful characters:) For those moments when you want to catch some rays, read or dine in peace and quiet, the back porch is one of the largest, quietest and most private in the entire Truman Annex. Surrounded by trees, it overlooks a tropical park, has two lounge chairs and a dining table with room for six. Inside, you can enjoy three flat-screen televisions, wireless internet, brand new tropical Caribbean furnishings and art. When it’s time to cook that fresh catch, Pelican’s Perch features a gas grill, fully-equipped kitchen, and a choice of an indoor or outdoor dining area. Great times always

Property as presented. Location great access to everything in Key West. Close to the pool back deck was great. Couldn’t ask for better location. Compass Realty is excellent to work with.

Lovely!!

Our first time in Key West and we loved it! The house was wonderful from the front porch to the spacious back deck. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was perfectly located so we were able to walk everywhere! Will definitely be back!

Fall getaway

Lovely property, gardens and grounds and pool area. Very close quarters in the downstairs bedroom. Seemed a bit tight. Very close and tight in the kitchen area, but totally accomodating with needed kitchen and basic cooking supplies. The dining area pretty much went unused, so a wasted space for us. Loved the porch and sitting out there and on the back deck. Utilized the grill and it worked perfect. Would probably stay in the Truman Annex area again, just without as many people.

our two week stay

We've been coming to Key West for several years. Always stayed in the Truman Annex area. Most of the stays have been in the Shipyard Condos. Great place overall. Pelican's Perch was great for our first two week stay. We usually only stay one week. We had family come in at different times throughout our stay. The only thing I can say is the kitchen being small was a little difficult. Hard to cook in. Could use a few more kitchen items, but we made out ok. Great showers and the beds were comfy. Location is perfect.

Nice little place

Everything was nice, and what we needed for our stay. I will say the kitchen was a bit smaller than expected. If you’re planning on cooking a lot, keep that in mind. Also the placement of the downstairs bathroom is a little awkward. Not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind.

Clean but needs upgrades

Clean property but really needs patio furniture and towel upgrades. Love location. Unable to use pool as it was always elbow to elbow people. Used Fort Zachary Beach super close. Master tv always off and on.

lovely locale, unit is tired.

This corner condo has one of the best locations in the Annex and is a great neighborhood to retreat to when visiting Key West. The unit itself is clearly being used hard by short term renters and would benefit from some upgrades in kitchen amenities, newer beach towels and the addition of more deck furnishings. The huge deck could really use a shade structure and indoor/outdoor sectional type furniture to perfect it. We spent hours out there anyway. The livingroom’s rugs and upholstery are getting a little dingy. All in all the Truman Annex as a development exceeded our expectations, the locale of this unit was the best but the unit is a little ‘road hard put away wet’ for what a weeks rent cost. But that’s coming from a neat-nick who appreciates interior design. Mostly it did the trick!

Location...location...location

Overall, the Truman Annex is lovely and the location is perfect! It’s its own little paradise tucked away from the hustle. We will stay in the Truman Annex again. The Pelican’s Perch and its inviting front porch was perfect for relaxing anytime of day. The main living room was spacious and comfortable, as well as the remolded bathrooms are nicely done. However the home’s amenities need a freshening facelift, I.e., towels, cookware and glassware. The master bedroom is rather dark and closets are not cleared of clutter.

Wonderful to travel again!!

Brought my 16 year old daughter and a friend for Spring Break! This was our first trip to Key West and we can’t wait to plan a return trip. The Pelican’s Perch was in a perfect location to all our activities. We walked to everything!!!

Nice place, beautiful location

The surroundings and the property are beautiful and the location is very convenient. We had difficulty getting the television and sound system to work, some guidance would have helped. The deck was in need of maintenance and the deck chairs were old and uv damaged. Everything else worked fine.

This property is in the perfect location. Almost everything is within walking distance. The pool was great to have so close also. The unit was clean and well stocked with towels and extra bedding. Will definitely book again.
