On The Mapp #1 is ready for your next OBX vacation! This bright and beachy cottage is conveniently located in the heart of OBX on the soundside at milepost 6 in Kill Devil Hills. Cottage is 3 bedrooms (plus a queen sleeper sofa in livingroom ) & 2 bathrooms and located three streets away from beach access with parking! Minutes away from the sound, multi-use trail that runs along Bay Drive, and public gazebo dock that's perfect for watching sunsets. Cottage is in pristine condition.

We fully enjoyed the location and comfort of this well appointed and spotless beach home. It was just perfect for my family of four, two of which are teenagers. The bikes and beach gear was an added bonus.

Beach get away

Beach house was very clean and comfy!! The owners were kind enough to let us get in early, since everything was cleaned. Close to stores and house had everything we needed for a weekend stay.

Fantastic cottage! Very clean, fully stocked, and a great spacious/open floor plan for groups/families. Convenient location and quiet neighborhood. Although it is close enough to walk to the beach, it is very difficult to get across the main road as there is not a crosswalk for several blocks. Public parking is available at nearby beaches, however. This didn’t bother us, but something for future guests to consider.

Stay was excellent. I have one recommendation, being a beach town, there were beach chairs, bikes, an umbrella which was fantastic. But I would recommend having beach towels too and some toiletries like a soap, shampoo, conditioner and maybe a few extra toilet paper.

Great location and lovely home

Our family stayed here for Labor Day weekend and we had an amazing time! Everything was clean and working perfectly. The beach chairs and umbrella in the storage area definitely came in handy. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will be sure to return.

Everything was perfect. The place was very clean, kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, internet worked fine. Great communication from hosts. Will definitely be back!

The place is amazing. Super clean and super spacious. Thing only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't stay longer! You are centrally located to so much. The owners are very responsive when asked questions and are very knowledgeable about the area. Really hoping to come back in the years to come.

Excellent Home

We had a great time! The home was the perfect size with everything and beyond that we needed. Included was plenty of information about the area and convenient items for the beach. Located a walk to the beach or the sound and near many places to eat, shop and site see. The neighborhood was quiet and very family friendly. The hosts were so accommodating and replied almost instantly when we had a question. We would definitely stay here again. OBX was amazing!

The Mapp's do not disappoint. It's obvious they care about the upkeep and appearance of their property and making you feel welcomed and at home. Property is clean, spacious, updated and comfortable on all accounts. Street is very quiet.

Birthday weekend

This house was amazing. Perfect for our group. The house and neighborhood was beautiful and our teens really enjoyed the riding the bikes to the sound and seeing the sunset . We loved having the decks to sit out on as well. The location was perfect for us. Close to everything including the Avalon Pier and a huge Target. Great weekend !

Another perfect trip in OBX!

My husband, sister-in-law and her husband and I stayed for the week. The first time I stayed at this rental, it was with my son. Both times were wonderful. The owners take very nice care and f this rental and we greatly appreciated getting in a little early after our long drive from Pittsburgh to get there. The house’s location is perfect for day trips to the beach and to access great restaurants! Thank you…we’ll be back for many years to come!

Great place!

The property was in a great location between the beach and the sound and we loved having bikes and beach chairs to use during our stay. The only odd thing was having to put (provided) sheets on the beds ourselves when we got there. Not a deal breaker, just something we hadn’t encountered at a rental before.
