I have never been more misled by previous reviews on Expedia. This hotel is rated fairly high and I found it to be anything but.
At check-in, I had to deal with hip-hop music playing inappropriately loud, but at least the clerk realized I was not enjoying it and shut it off. Then I blame myself for not reading the reservation closely enough to realize I’m not in the main building on the beach, I’m half a block down and on the other side of the road. The corridors to these rooms were filthy, overflowing with bags and bags of garbage and boxes just laying around the windows in my room rooms had cobwebs in every corner at night. I want to turn my bedside lamp on, but there was no switch on the lamp. It had been removed. In fact everything in the room was unplugged. I plugged the lamp back in at which time the light bulb burst and started flickering, and there was broken glass on my table. I called the front desk to report it, and they said they would have it fixed, but no one ever showed up. Maybe most of the reviews were lucky enough to be in the main building which might be Better But if you are on the annex building, it really is a poor hotel.
