“This place was perfect for our Guys Weekend; a getaway for 5 dads in their 40s. And we were very satisfied with all the room to move around and what this house had to offer. It was clean, plenty of seating, a big dining room table, 3 bathrooms, bbq grill, wifi, TV for our weekend sports, and firepit by the lake with great views. Only negatives were that the outside wrap around porch could have used a cleaning, the deck by the lake could use an overhaul, and same with the outdoor furniture. Bring……

“If you are looking for basic accommodations with easy access to the boat ramp and beach on Carlyle Lake, this rental meets the need. Pros: Very clean, easy keypad access, just a few minutes to walk to the beach, solid assortment of kitchen supplies, plenty of extra blankets. Cons: Keyesport is a very rural community that is sadly run down in some areas. The street where this rental is located has a mix of nice homes and abandoned buildings. “We rented this property for the beach area pictured. It looked nothing like that picture. The beach was dirty with little sand and there was a pontoon docked in the middle the entire weekend. The property owner, from the beginning of the rental process, was also terrible with communication. The smell of sewage and the ridiculous amount of wasps made sitting out on the porch for more than 20 minutes impossible. “We had a lovely stay. The house was so lovely and well equipped with such attention to detail. As we sat on the deck drinking our coffee, we saw osprey, blue heron, coots and turtles. The beds were comfortable. Our only complaint was an oil rig right next to the house. I have sensitive lungs and had some difficulty with the off gassing from the rig.”

“Very convenient from and to the highway. Forgot to mention to the desk that the fridge needs defrosting. One trash can was not emptied. Seemed it was simply overlooked. ”

“The hotel and room was clean, beds/pillows were okay. Breakfast was great especially for a smaller hotel. Area was safe with a few restaurants nearby. Only complain was our room was a little noisy, I suspect it was the highway traffic.”
