Arima grand hotelhas shuttle to and from the bus station. The staff, amenities and the whole property were top notch. The souvenir shop had some of the top items from town. The onsens were big and spacious. The onsen on the 9th floor had breathtaking view and the onsens on the ground level overlook a bamboo forest. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable! Loved this place, would certainly go back. Highly recommended!
Very good. Staff were so nice and helpful. The onsen facilities were lovely. The room was lovely and clean. There’s a short uphill walk to the hotel from the bus or train station so be sure to call the hotel upon arrival to arrange a shuttle collection.
Having the choice of 2 onsens, one at the top floor and the other at the bottom floor, breakfast is good (I did not try their dinner), parking is convenient and walking to town is short, not suitable for those looking for small luxury onsen hotel
Absolutely amazing everything the room ,breakfast , amenities. The baths itself are just breathtaking!!!and the view ! service ! everything !!!I can’t wait to come back.
Went there w family. The room we booked got modern decor and facilities. Very clean n comfortable. Hotel got its own garden n pool. There were sakura trees in its own garden. Sakuras were in full bloom. Very beautiful. Staff were experienced and attentive. Food was nice. Will recommend hotel to others
Facilities were amazing. Onsen quality was superb. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Downside of the hotel was the location as it is on a hill. Hotel offers shuttle to/from the hotel to nearby bus and rail station, but to request pick up from outside requires calling the hotel. As international tourist, I do not have access to local calls.
The room and public baths are wonderful.
The included breakfast buffet is crowded and the quality is just okay.
The restaurant food is expensive and the quality and taste is just okay.
Overall I really like the hotel and baths, but we ran into a big problem. They claimed they couldn’t feed us dinner, because they were booked up. They gave us a room service menu that began at 9:00 pm and offers soba and udon. I was pretty upset to pay $375 a night and no dinner. We checked back several times and nothing. That night was dark, windy, and pouring rain and there is nothing else nearby. We waited until 9:00 pm and called room service. They answered and said sorry room service isn’t available today. What!!?? We asked the front desk, absolutely nothing available. So, no dinner. I was very polite and explained we were not happy, but they just smiled and didn’t care. Very disappointing. So beware.
