The condo itself is great. However, most of the amentities of Ocean Dunes are outdated and not well maintained. Mainly, the playground and tennis court area. The playground isnt bad, but the area as a whole looks apocalyptic. We still love and highly recommend this place. It would just be nice if the whole facilty was as nice as the condo itself.

Kure Beach Oceanfront Rental

Bed in bedroom old, worn out, very noisy & needs replaced. Kitchen cutlery too dull to use, teapot & some pots rusted inside. Parking space was filthy, ceiling torn down, Filled with insulation & debris! Would not recommend or return.

Renter Beware - Beautiful Location - Needs Repairs

This property should not be rented in its current state of disrepair. Upon arrival, we saw that the garage ceiling was ripped apart with insulation and debris all over the place, with birds nesting in the exposed beams. Upon closer inspection of the situation, we located several support beams that were rotten thru and disintegrating. It's unsightly at best and a safety hazard at worst. Once inside the property, there is an obvious structural issue that you can see and feel in uneven, 'fun house' style floors. We did a quick inspection of everything else, and found the washer/dryer stackable was broken and missing parts in places, one of the chairs in the living room was broken and falling apart, and the electrical box was rusted out. I've rented properties all over the world and can honestly say I've never been given keys to a property that was so unkempt from a safety perspective. When I notified the rental agency of our concerns with pictures, I never heard from them...not even a courtesy, 'We'll look into it.'

Would never rent these condos again

The unit smell very strongly of mold and smoke. The underside of the unit in the carport had been torn off exposing obvious problems of flooring rot and extensive mold the went beyond the cosmetic. I had mild asthma and Mild mild allergy after being in the unit for 5 minutes I couldn’t stop coughing. I had to constantly uses my inhalers. Had the property managers been honest about the work in progress, instead of misrepresenting the current state of the unit, I would have not chosen to spent my Labor Day weekend there

Perfect for 2

Loved the view! We prefer low key vacations-we didn't use the pool, etc. The location is great. End unit condo was very quiet. We were there during the beach reclamation and even that was enjoyable watching the dozers putting sand back on the beach. Unit was very clean, linens good. Only thing we would have changed was bedroom needs room-darkening drapes-safety lights shine in from street and stairs. Definitely a consideration for next vacation.
