「We have been travelling throughout Sri Lanka staying in hotels for a couple of nights each time, this one was FABULOUS, from the moment you come through the gates, you feel that you're somewhere special, you are then presented with a beautiful turn of century colonial house, the room was HUGE with high ceilings and the biggest antique four poster bed you've ever seen, and matching furniture, the fully modern bathroom is accessed through and old antique door, and the waterfall shower was superb....

「We stayed in an over-water villa and it was huge and lovely, set apart from the hotel but not far. Only minor thing was the pond they are set in was a bit muddy as the water was shallow, if it was a couple of feet deeper the whole illusion would be much nicer.」

「We had an incredible experience at Uga Ulagalla: the property is immense and filled with animals and rice fields. The villas are scattered around the property with no vis-a-vis, they are very large and all have their own pool. The common pool near the main building is also amazing. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is well worth the spend」

「A beautiful Resort, wished we stayed longer to enjoy more of it. The only downside for us was the bar. If you’re offering cocktails, you need staff that know what they are doing. The staff behind the bar had no idea.」
