Wonderful spot for family get together.
Everything was wonderful. There was some issues with getting in touch with landlord through VRBO. Not the landlords fault, vrbos issue. Will definitely recommend this place to others! Disappointed the hot tub was down. Maybe next time 😀

Just what we needed
Had great weather with great people. It was a farm house as described so you have to expect a little Japanese beatle takeover. Perfect spot to check out the stars and relax. Spent a lot of time at Wildcat Mountain.... Beautiful area!!

We liked the relaxing deck and porch at the property. The porch was great on our rainy day for the morning and evening wildlife entertainment (deer, hummingbirds and other bird species).

nice place in a wonderful area
This was a lovely place to stay for a few days. We enjoyed many of the special touches (flowers, eggs & butter). We enjoyed all the recreational opportunities in the area (kayaking, hiking). Hot tub took a long time to warm up, & we could not figure out the propane fireplace on the deck.

Authentic Country Charm
The home and outdoor spaces were perfect for us. We love nature and the sights and sounds of birds and the stillness of country air was beautiful. The house is great for two or a family and two couples. First floor boasts a bedroom and walk in shower. This is exactly what I needed with recent surgeries. Enjoy this home!

This is such a quaint place to stay with everything you need and a lot of extras. We loved our stay.
All the necessities and lots of extras were available. It was so peaceful and relaxing my granddaughter said it was exactly the kind of farm house she wants to live in after college.

Wonderful stay!
If you are looking for a relaxing, funky place, I can't recommend Dr. Jean's home more! The house and land is beautiful, and it's so close to the Kickapoo Valley Reserve that you're surrounded with trees. We will definitely be coming back!

Typical Wisconsin Farm house
Comfortable, clean, hot water-we just needed a place to stay for a couple days and this was perfect for us. Milk and eggs in the fridge, an electric fireplace, a hot tub we’re nice amenities.

Lovely, cozy house!
This was the perfect spot for a winter get together with a couple good friends! The kitchen is well equipped for cooking with everything you need to make a good meal, including a nice selection of spices. The hot tub was very relaxing and fit 4 adults nicely. The living room is very cozy with a convenient gas fireplace. This is a very homey place to stay!

Cozy farmhouse stay
Rustic farmhouse stay was very relaxed and cozy. It felt like we were staying at a friends house. The coffee, farm fresh eggs and milk were a nice touch. We truly relaxed and enjoyed the whole house. All the bird feeders were fun to watch.

Country Living At Its Finest....
very nice for her first year in business, some things at the curb appeal side could be addressed, maybe a small hideaway TV, and a down stairs air con unit, pretty hot and muggy for our week there..my partner said it reminded her of her grandfather place also in LaFarge, when they we kids. All it needed was some chickens pecking about, and some cows and horses and a barn, overall very nice loved the shower and bathroom, hardwood floors, very nicely decorated, we never got the chance to enjoy the soaker tub that was also there.

Great stay in the Driftless!
We mainly used Jean's house for sleeping because we were running around for a wedding, but it was very clean and the beds were comfy! It was nice to wind down on the front porch listening to the owls and coyotes. Thanks, Jean for a great home base during a zany weekend!

Great Stay at Jean’s Place
The place met our needs and we had a seamless check-in. We found the house to be unique in many ways. Bedrooms were good size with comfortable beds. Bathroom had a great sized shower. Large yard with front porch, back deck, and a fire pit. Inside had a fireplace that turned on with a flip of a switch. Kitchen was a nice size and was a nice asset so we didn’t have to eat out all weekend. Absolutely loved the living room rug!

Relaxing Stay in an Ideal Location
Jean's farmhouse was peaceful, cozy, clean and efficient and in an ideal location for Driftless area exploring. Highlights of the house: Ample cookware, a large dining room table, excellent hot water and pressure, huge walk-in shower, and the beds were very comfy. Bird watching at the many feeders around the windows was a joy. Board games, an ample collection of books and WiFi access made our stay feel like home. Since the evenings were cool, we enjoyed the warmth of a nightly gas log fire in the parlor. There's also seating outside with a firepit to enjoy stars on clear nights, or to watch the sunset on the front porch. Jean was readily available by text to answer questions and check-in and check-out were a breeze. Personal recommendations nearby: Hillsboro Brewery for local beer and eats. Also the Friday night fish fry for $10, just down the road at Rockton Bar and Grill. We enjoyed our stay!

Great Location for KVR Hiking
This is a perfect spot for the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. The house is cozy and comfortable, but it is the owner's residence, so it is very much like staying in a friend's house. It's right across from a beautiful cemetery and the front porch was a perfect perch to watch the birds . The front room is cozy and nice for relaxing after a day of hiking. Dining room table is large and perfect for card games.

Quaint cottage near the Kickapoo Valley Reserve
Our group of six (3 couples and 2 pups) loved the location of Jean’s property- it was a two minute drive to the reserve. It was a great location for fly fishing and near enough to Hillsboro and Viroqua for restaurants and breweries. Our dogs enjoyed running around in her large yard and we spent time soaking in the sun on her back porch. There are two main bedrooms, and a third full bed in a loft room leading up into one of the bedrooms. The bathroom was comfortable and spacious and Jean left us local eggs, milk, and butter that we enjoyed for breakfast. Would love to stay here again!
