"Pros: Fantastic location. Walking distance to the south end of the Torrey pines hike, 10 minutes to La Jolla shores, or Torrey pines. Right near the freeway for ease of access around SD. And walking distance to the club house. Great friendly staff all around. Cons: Bed was a little hard/springy for my liking and it was a little loud in the hotel in the hallways but to tremendously so. Jacuzzis were a little small if that's a dealbreaker."
Hotel La Jolla, Curio Collection by Hilton

"We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. We had a wonderful view of the ocean and drone 4th of July show. It's 2 blocks away from some great restaurants, kayak/snorkel tours and the actual beach. The room was clean and beds were so comfortable. On the 4th of July they cooked hamburgers and hotdogs at a reduced price. When we saw that we would have the pool and lounge chairs to ourselves, we spent the day of the 4th here rather than fight the crowd at the beach. It was so relaxing. This hotel helped us have a relaxing, memorable weekend."

"We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is charming, beautifully maintained, and the rooms are updated while still keeping the property’s character. The location couldn’t have been better—we were able to easily walk to La Jolla Cove, great restaurants, and all the shops. Every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making our stay so enjoyable. This is the perfect place for families, couples, or solo travelers. This was one of our favorite hotels, and we would absolutely stay here again. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting La Jolla!"

"The property is an old school family retreat. The amenities have improved over the years. The pool areas is much cleaner and more upscale than it used to be. The beach services are amazing, as is the new Walnut Lounge (Bar on the Beach). I absolutely love this property. The private beach is fabulous. I love having barbecues on the beach with tables set up for your entire family to enjoy a sit down dinner. If you are looking for a brand new, marble clad hotel, this isn't it. If you want a relaxed upscale beach experience you can't go wrong with this property."
