"Friendly staff. Room was quiet despite several building projects nearby at the time of our stay. Room was clean and facilities good. Safe parking. About a 20 min walk to the harbourside where there are lots of places to eat. We didn't stay for breakfast as had to leave early in the morning. Used the hotel as a overnight stop on the way to Caen from Bordeaux to break up the long drive."

The location is excellent, the staff was super helpful and friendly, the rooms were well out fitted and extremely clean, and the lobby bar was small but appreciated. Our room looked as if it had been recently redone as did the rest of the hotel. I would stay here again anytime."

"The hotel was excellent and exactly as advertised. The staff were all cheerful and Lily in the breakfast room and my wife hit it off especially. The walk to and from the Vieux Port isn’t onerous if you are fit and the location close to the station is really convenient."

"This is a great hotel to stay at for trips into La Rochelle and the nearby little town of Perigny also has good bars and boulangeries. If you have a dog there is a great little park for walks. The room was clean, with a big comfortable bed and with a big shower with a seat for those needing that support. In the morning the breakfast was perfect, plentiful and very varied! We had chosen this hotel for the fact that it had a restaurant but on booking with Expedia there was no warning that the restaurant was not open on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, which was a shame because the menu sounded great! This was not the fault of the hotel. We would definitely recomment the Brit Hotel, Perigny!"

"Matelas inconfortable, on ressent les ressorts, fermeté très dure. Literie de piètre qualité pour un hôtel de luxe. Drap et édredon bas gamme. Le personnel de l’entretien ménager est venu dans la chambre quand il était indiqué: ne pas entrer. Deux fois dans la même journée. A fouillé dans mes sacs de soins personnels. N’a pas changé les serviettes et vider les poubelles … quand est entré dans la chambre sans consentement. Qu’est-ce qu’il est venu faire? Avis émis au majordome de l’hôtel. Air climatisé non fonctionnel car ce n’est pas la saison même s’il fait 25-28 degré."
