"This is a lovely, well run hotel in a spectacular location overlooking the Lake. The rooms were very comfortable and modern with Tea and coffee making facilities. We booked the Lake view room with a balcony and it was really special to wake up in the morning, pull back the curtains to that great view. We stayed 3 nights and ate in the hotel restaurant each night as the food was so good. The Pizzas are amazing and huge,I tried, but no way could I eat it all. There is a lovely rooftop terrace with amazing views and a swimming pool, but unfortunately the weather wasn't kind to us so we did not get to use them. The staff are very welcoming and pleasant. The one thing that stands out is that the hotel is located up at the top of a very steep hill and it is not for the faint hearted to drive up the narrow road with switchback bends and very steep gradients. Parking is limited and the spaces very small and narrow so you have to park carefully between the lines, not great if you are of a larger frame, it could pose a challenge getting in and out of your vehicle unless it is a small one. However, none of this should put you off in any way, just passing on our experience. We had a lovely stay here and I would very highly recommend it as a spectacular base to tour the Lakes as we did. Thank you Hotel Stampa, we will return."

"Wir waren 2 Wochen lang zu viert (2 Erw., 8 J, 17 J) von Mitte bis Ende August in der Unterkunft von Giovanna. Der Empfang lief reibungslos, die Wohnung war wie beschrieben. Wir hatten für den ersten Morgen ein Frühstückspaket, in dem alles vorhanden war, was wir gebraucht haben. Bei Fragen hat Giovanna immer schnell geantwortet. Ausreichend Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe. Die Entfernung zu Städten wie Varese, Luino etc. war überschaubar (ca. 20 Min.). Man sollte allerdings ein Auto haben. Dieses kann im Hof geparkt werden. Kaffeemaschine, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine waren vorhanden und konnten genutzt werden. Geschirr ist ausreichend vorhanden. Direkt am Haus führt eine Straße, die von Radrennfahrern gut genutzt wird. Fliegengitter an den Fenstern waren nicht vorhanden, aber auch nicht zwingend notwendig, da überraschenderweise kaum Mücken vorhanden waren. Auch die wärmeren Temperaturen ließen sich sehr gut in der Wohnung aushalten. Balkon läuft auf 3 Seiten, man findet immer ein sonniges Plätzchen.Der Tischkicker war leider defekt. Auch könnte das kleinere Sofa gerne ausgetauscht werden. Sehr hundefreundlich. Balkon konnte geschlossen werden. Hundekissen sowie Napf mit kleinem Goodie standen parat. Spiele und Bücher vorhanden, diese allerdings ausschließlich italienisch. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit einen Aufenthalt bei Giovanna und ihrer Familie weiterempfehlen.
