Enjoy this exceptionally spacious cottage - just steps from Lake Pepin and downtown Lake City with a view of Lake Pepin from your backyard. The location is a short walk from the shops and restaurants of downtown Lake City and 'River Walk', a 3 mile walking path along Lake Pepin. Enjoy the backyard with a fire pit for bonfires and maybe roasting marshmellows!

Nearby summer activities include golfing (6 area golf courses), boating, fishing, water skiing, and sailing. Frontenac State Park and Hok-si-la City Park offer hiking opportunities and the National Eagle Center is just a short drive.

Winter activities include cross country skiing, snowmobiling, Winterfest celebration, and downhill skiing nearby at Coffee Mill, Wabasha or Welch Village, Red Wing. There are many shopping, dining, and antiquing experiences available in Lake City as well as in nearby towns.

Just perfect

We thoroughly enjoyed the home, walking to the lake and amazing coffee shops. We also did a few day trips from there. Would absolutely recommend. It’s a small, quiet town perfect for the soul.

Our weekend was rainy but it was a lovely stay and a perfect location! Steps from the lake and so pretty! The cottage was cozy and I love that there are two bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again, everything you need is within walking distance.

Great Weekend Getaway!

Property is amazing and well taken care of! Hosts are very helpful and easy to contact. Everything you need is in the cottage and it's a beautiful view. There also nice antique stores in walking distance. We would definitely stay at this location again!

Beautiful cottage by the lake!

Nancy & Brad are excellent hosts! So responsive and helpful. The location of their beautiful cottage is great! You can see Lake Pepin from the kitchen window and the backyard; it's a quiet neighborhood with views of the eagles and geese. We walked the block or two to all of the shops, restaurants and bars. The cottage is decorated beautifully; is so welcoming and was fully stocked for our stay. All we brought was coffee and a few dry goods. The beds are comfortable and it was great to have 2 bathrooms as well. Thanks so much for offering up you beautiful cottage for a great girlfriend weekend!

This place was perfect with beautiful views of Lake Pepin. Town of Lake City is a hidden gem. Owner of propert had this place stocked like no other place we have ever stayed. Decorating was adorable.

Great location

Lake Pepin is just a block away. I can view it from the the patio. The house is cute and clean. I enjoy taking walks by the lake or just sitting on a bench watching the birds and boats go by. I always go to the stores in town and also head over to Red Wing also. Lake city is so relaxing. I come here yearly and stay at the same place.

Minnesota High School State Bass Fishing Championship

We booked the house for a participant and a boat captain, and the parents of the participant, for the Minnesota High School State Bass Tournament in Wabasha. This property worked perfect for our needs for this event. The house was the cleanest of any VRBO property I have ever stayed at. Nice quiet neighborhood with a short walk to Lake Pepin. Highly recommend this property to my friends and family!!

Nice location and accommodating owners.

Nancy and Brad are nice owners and they've spent a lot of time on the décor around the house. The only appliances we used were the microwave and the coffee maker (lucky we brought our own coffee) so I'm not sure how the stove/oven would've performed. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs for the nightly train whistle and noise from your family upstairs. We saw some eagles in the neighbor's backyard too. The location was close to the swimming beach and in walking distance to downtown.
