I went in search of meadows with purple flowers among the orange poppies and was rewarded with this ~ a ring of yellow mustards. And a contrasting sky with rain clouds to the south.

Due to the recent winter rains in Southern California, hillsides are bursting with colors of wildflowers. These hills especially are covered with mostly the poppies-California Flower. Soon the hills will turn brown unless we get more rains. Visitors are flocking to these hills by the thousands these past few weeks to witness this amazing phenomenon!

「This property was a mixed bag. First the good. Communication and cooperation with the management was excellent (thanks Rosi)! Front and backyard was natural green grass and quite nice. House was reasonably clean.Neighborhood is pleasant and parking is ample. All the bedrooms are upstairs. 「Casita Menifee is just as advertised, thoughtfully laid out and cozy, compact but comfortable. The coffee and coffee maker are excellent and a refrigerator and microwave are in the room. There are multiple dining and shopping options available a short drive away. One thing we noticed was the hot/cold controls in the shower are reversed. Randall knows about this so he will probably make a note to tell future guests about it.」

「The house is very nice and roomy. There is a lot of exploring on the property for the children. The only issue is that the master bedroom is on the opposite side of the house and if we turned the heater on the other two bedrooms would get too warm and they couldn’t sleep so we got a bit cold at night. We just wore extra clothing. The hot air balloons land right behind the house and that was very cool! We would definitely come back! Beautiful scenery too!」
