Property owner cancelled my reservation on the date of arrival. Failed to communicate to prior requests for check in instructions. Completely ruined a planned vacation.

No air conditioning as listed

Host was an amazing and helpful communicator until we asked about the air conditioning since the listing said air conditioning. Never heard from her again . Tried twice. House was 80° In the living room with a ceiling fan . Bedroom 1 didn’t have a fan or window screens and bedroom 2 had a broken ceiling fan and no window screens . Too hot to sleep . Left very early for home after a long very uncomfortable night . Grant it, it was an extremely hot weekend but again it was listed . Needed to purchase light bulbs, there were a few out . Also purchased coffee filters ( also in the listing) which would have been no big deal had she not stopped communication. House was clean Check in was good

Kind responsive host

I took my son and nephew snowboarding at Big Boulder. The house became available last minute and it was fantastic. It was a very short trip to the mountain as well as all of the great little eateries in town. Ashley was a pleasure to deal with and very responsive. We can’t wait to go back.

Weekend trip

This was a great spot for a weekend away to go skiing. Ashley was very helpful and called before our trip and let us know what we needed to bring and also gave good recommendations for what was good around there. Would definitely go back!

Snowy get-away in February

The house was very comfortable for my husband and I. Lots of snow for great skiing in area. Convenient location. Bathroom is a little tight but otherwise very comfortable. We would go there again.

Very quaint

Cozy cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. The location was great, walking distance to the lake and restaurants doing takeout and outdoor dining. Close to local ski spots. The house itself was perfect for my family of 3, we were really comfortable during our stay and enjoyed watching some of the family movies provided by the owner. The only reason I'm not giving a 4-5 star review is that the owner did not tell us we needed to bring linens (no sheets for 2 beds, no towels) until we arrived. The house is not close to any major stores, so it was both expensive and inconvenient to have to go buy these things when we could easily have brought them from home with some advanced notice. Another reviewer had the same issue, apparently.

Nice location

Enjoyed our weekend in the Poconos. Location worked for us. Cottage was nice but rustic. Clean but not spotless. If you go to this location take sheets, towels & paper products. We had to buy these items for $100 since listing implied that they were included. Don’t plan on having sleeping accommodations for more than 4. Sleeper sofa was terribly uncomfortable, mattress is shot. Laundry is in an unfinished basement. Dryer had clean linens in it. Dishwasher had dirty dishes in it. Very strong Febreze smell initially, like all fabric was saturated. Caused some allergies to flare up. Smell dissipated eventually. Some of the pans & dishes should be replaced. Would have appreciated more attention to details & comfort. Property manager seemed nice and personable. Would suggest that listing be updated.

Very cozy

We enjoyed our time here. It was great for the kids. Located on a cult de sac, there was no traffic. We had a fire at nightcand listened to the live music at Shenanigans. Its a perfect place for a simple getaway and close to local attractions like Hickory run state park.

Overall our experience was great! The spot is actually a little nicer in person than the photos. Very close to the lake and such a cute town which is in walking distance. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it wasn’t clear in the description that Lake Harmony is actually a private lake. You can buy beach passes but had our group realized that prior to booking we probably would have found another spot. The owner was helpful however in giving other options and suggestions.

Weekend Getaway

First, we were in constant communication and we did get a cleaning credit. With that said; a bear had gotten into the trash (we were forewarned that this has been happening) and it was strewn on front and back of property. It took the maintenance person 24-hrs to clean-up front and the back never got picked up. Then when we went in the house wasn't cleaned at all. I had to sanitize and vacuum. The location was nice as you could walk to eateries but nowhere could you go just sit at the lake because there were all these rules of who owned certain spots. This is one reason we won't purchase a home here. Lastly, the property has never been updated, the tiny TV had very limited stations and the home was not conducive to a relaxing getaway. Even if we were paying a minimal per night which we didn't. It wasn't worth it. We were very disappointed .

The worse experience in my life. House was not properly cleaned, shower doors were very dirty, refrigerator had old food from previous guests and not properly clean.. Plus, owner said that we left her house messy(cleaning service included cleaning charges fee) and that we broke her tv and kept my refundable deposit. Tried calling and texting her and no response or any kind of communication and no proof... Would not recommend...

An amazing time!

Ashley is very sweet and her home was extremely cute. It was perfect for our stay! The house was clean upon arrival and there were many close by places for food and other necessities! I highly recommend a stay here and can not wait to come see the views in winter!

Beautiful and cozy cabin very close to the lake!

Very cozy and inviting, perfect for a short getaway or a longer stay. Great location: beautiful view, walking distance to the lake and nearby restaurants, and close distance to many scenic trails. Ashley is immensely helpful, very friendly, and always ready to answer any questions. We would definitely stay there again!

Charming home, amazing location!

The house is adorable! Clean. Great neighborhood. Our family spent just over a month here and we all loved it. Restaurants are literally in the backyard. We came to ski and the mountains are all close. 2 min to Big Boulder, 10 to Jack Frost, 20 to camelback and 40 to Blue. The homeowner, Ashley is very sweet and helpful. She is quick to respond and answer any questions. Everything was perfect! We’re already booked for next winter. Stay at Ashley’s house- you will love it!
