「Everything was falling apart. Water was coming up through the floor. We couldn’t use one bedroom because the door and frame were falling off and had to be removed. We had to tighten screws and bolts on the tables. Everything outside is overgrown including trees growing in the gutters. The list is long. 」

「We stayed at the Dogwood Treehouse during the ice storm FERN in January of 2026. We knew going in that there was a chance we could get stuck, but we had been planning this trip for nearly a year and didn’t want to cancel.
