While we were disappointed we weren't able to fully enjoy Lake Lure (due to the recovery from Helene), we were happy to come visit the area and support the local businesses while they work to rebuild. 「We had an amazing weekend staying out here in Lake Lure. The house is close enough to all the necessities and restaurants around. The lake was still closed when we went, but that didn't detract from our time. There is still some river fishing and tons of beautiful views. We would really like to thank our host Mrs. Liz for convincing us to come when we were having second thoughts as we thought that the area and property were damaged by the hurricane Helen.
