Tranquil retreat

This is a beautiful property, close to the water. The whole block is rentals through the same company so you can coordinate a retreat for a large group. Each home has plenty of sleeping areas, full kitchen, and water toys. Highly recommend.

Views are breathtaking all the way around. Very tasteful interior with a gorgeous walk around porch!! Very nice get away from the busy life!

Beautiful cabin

My family and I had such a great trip! The cabin was clean and absolutely beautiful inside. Lori was very accommodating and responsive to any questions I had before we arrived and during our stay! We are already looking at dates for a future trip. Highly recommend!

This property was definitely as described. We arrived to a clean and warm house. The kitchen was full of all the things to make meals during the stay. Awesome view of the lake from the living room and decks. The hosts were awesome and were ready if we needed them. We woke up during the stay to a visit from the snow which for even better views of the area. All in all this place has everything you would need for your stay and to keep you occupied while there. We will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful lake access and views

We stayed at Retreat 9 recently and had a fun and relaxing stay. The house had everything we could have wanted and more. The deck had amazing views, comfortable seating with enough room for everyone. There was a propane fire pit on the deck for evening deck lounging and ample shade during the day with an umbrella and shade from the roof. There was a hammock in the yard that fit two and a seating area with a propane heater nearby. The house had everything we could have wanted in the kitchen, living room and bedrooms. The house was exceptionally clean and outdoor areas were well organized. It felt secluded being at the end of the street with enough parking out front for our truck and boat trailer. The kids played monopoly almost everyday and Roku for the tvs. Plus books, magazines and guides for things to do in the area. There was a path created to the lake which we easily carried our paddle boards down. We were able to tie our boat in the cove to a log that someone tied up to give us easy access. We walked down the log and got into the back of the boat. We didn’t even get our feet wet. There were Kayaks to use also provided by the hosts. The cove out front was a perfect place to float, kayak, paddle board, and lounge around. The lake was beautiful, neighbors were nice, and we love the town of Lakehead for anything we need during our stay. We launched our boat next door at Sugarloaf Marina and the ladies there were also very friendly. Lori was available to answer any of our questions and came by to say hi while we were unpacking our truck on arrival which made us feel well taken care of and welcomed to her house as she was staying a few houses down. The attention to detail, kindness, and communication is spot on. The house is up a steep driveway and a flight of stairs. It didn’t bother us, but might be difficult for those with mobility issues. I felt this was clearly outlined on the website and not a negative for us, as the views from that high were enjoyable. Each retreat has it own special amenity. I think being that high up provided spectacular views. We can’t wait to plan our next trip back.

A Bit of Haven!

This is our second time staying in this lovely cabin. It is cozy, clean, well-stocked and charmingly decorated and remodeled. We loved our time on the deck relaxing, reading, eating, and playing games. The view from the house and deck are stunning, especially with our morning coffee. Stargazing was an added bonus. And so grateful to be so close to the marina where we docked our boat. Can't wait to return to this Haven!

Wonderful home, location and great communication with hosts!

When we arrived, the house was extremely clean and well-organized. The living room is nice and open, and the front deck area is also perfect for gathering for meals. The BBQ an hammock were also a hit. The bedrooms were so well appointed, and the beds were super comfortable. Each bedroom having a bathroom right nearby was perfect for everyone. The A/C's worked fantastic when needed. The kids loved the canoe's, and we bought some blow-up floaties for playing in the water near the house. I also suggest renting a speed boat for the day and tubing with the kids, that was a big hit for this location as well. The kitchen was well-equipped (we do home-cooking!) and came with all the dishware/cookware we needed. Bring your own spices beyond salt & pepper and anything at all for food storage. Hosts were so accommodating, and we felt VERY at home in this beautiful house and location!

Best place to stay on the water at Shasta

This property and Lori who I communicated with were amazing! The house is at the end of a court with Great views of the lake and also your boat if you keep it at Sugarloaf marina. When the later level is high you can almost swim just feet away from the court. We went up for Labor Day weekend so pretty much at the end of the season, water level was down but had not much impact on use. The shoreline here is nice with multiple walking paths down to the water where a nice small 5mph cove is, great for shoreline fun and swimming for the kids. This house has a wrap around porch and a side sitting area as well. Waking up in the mornings and having coffee there for multiple hours was so peaceful and relaxing. I can't emphasize enough how great and amazing this house is and how well it is setup. Can accommodate 2 families with 2 kids perfectly as one of the bedrooms had double bunk beds setup for 4 children. The other 2 rooms had queen beds and bathrooms attached so perfect for the parents. Lori had mentioned to me about some waterfalls and cool hiking spots on the lake, we researched it and found them. Definitely worth the hike up to them, my kids had a blast doing it. This was our first time up at Shasta Lake and we are already talking about next year and going back up. We are going to book this house again as it was perfect for our family of 4 with plenty of room and perfect location. I would HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone looking to go up to Shasta for a family trip!
