Blacktail Cabin - Lakeside, MT

Lovely quiet cabin

We loved our stay ! We were there when it was 97 some days in Montana and with no AC the cabin stayed cool enough to be comfortable. We hope to be back !

Beautiful Retreat

This was a wonderful retreat. Easy to find and convenient to Lakeside, but still felt remote and isolated. Very peaceful with all the modern amenities (except wifi).

Great location and very clean. The cabin worked really well for us. Had some issues with door lock that were never really fixed, but the maintenance team was on it and very responsive.

Quiet Cabin in the Woods

This cabin was ideal for our needs, a week of family get-togethers. We were there in October and the leaves on the trees were turning. Saw lots of deer and TONS of wild turkeys. I just wish we could have seen a bear!!

This property was everything we hoped it would be and more. The loft was fantastic with the bathroom and comfortable bed, the kitchen area and living area large enough for all of us to gather for a meal. Everything was spotless! Can't wait to come back

Fall Getaway

What's better than a cozy log cabin in the woods in the Fall? We loved it, everything we needed was available to us. Very nice after a long day to return to such a serene spot to cook a nice meal. The cabin provided so much, great appliances, cookware...thank you!

We have only positive things to say. It was easy to get to , yet secluded . We had plenty of parking for 2 vehicles and our boat. The scenery was beautiful! The cabin was well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the fireplace on a chilly evening. We would love to come back again! Thank you !

The Stricklands view

The view was absolutely gorgeous, not hard to get to at all, close to the town where everyone is so friendly and it was very easy to get to the surrounding towns.The neighbors dogs were so friendly and played with our boys every day! Mick is the white and black and Blue the black one. There was little walking trails we went on near the cabin. We would definitely visit again. We seen deer, and so many beautiful rocks all over! We are from Florida and absolutely loved them.

This is a beautiful cabin located just outside of town.

This cabin is beautiful. It sits just outside of town and is very peaceful. There is a creek nearby that you can listen to while sitting on the porch. The furniture inside is comfortable and clean. The beds were also very comfortable and allowed for some well needed rest. This is a pet friendly cabin, and property. With that being said, this house is in the country. You will see wild animals, we saw a mountain lion that was just down from the back porch, less than twenty yards from the cabin. Seeing these big cats is usually rare but none the less, you are in the country. Please watch your pets, kids, or smaller people and just use common sense. This is a great place to get away.

Cabin in the woods

Comfortable & well appointed with some issues that needt to be addressed, such as switches & light switches that don’t work; the fireplace & air-tight stove needed to be cleaned before use & windows do not appear to have been cleaned for some time, part. the large windows…ent rance door latch does not operate properly. The above comments are not so much complaints as they are observations…that being said, we would not hesitate to return…a nice location!

Perfect Getaway

This place is perfect! As they stated, the Internet is not reliable. Neither is the Dish Network. Don't plan on streaming services. Download content before you come, or bring your own DVDs. The grill needs some work to be serviceable, also could not figure out the thermostat, but everything else was great! The Lakeside Grocery store has less expensive firewood than Sliters. We enjoyed the serenity of the place, the fireplace, the porch, the view, the gurgling brook. Perfect. We would definitely come back here!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location was perfect - close to town, but felt so remote and private. The kitchen was stocked with all of the supplies we needed for family meals. Waking up in the loft watching the sun come up was a great way to start the day.
