Welcome to the Smithy Apartment (Kovačnica)!

The Smithy Apartment, also known as Kovačnica in Slovenian, is situated on the site of a former family blacksmith's workshop. The workshop operated at the beginning of the 20th century, primarily forging nails since there were no stores selling such goods at that time, as well as horseshoes for horse harnessing. After the workshop ceased its activities, the building was used for storage purposes, and the attic served as a smokehouse for meat products (salami, sausages, and local specialty called "bunke").

The Smithy Apartment is an accommodation where you will see the personal touch of the owners in every corner and detail. The cottage is entirely made of wood and beautifully blends with the surroundings. With the use of sustainable materials, careful integration into the space, offering local products and experiences, planting native plants, providing hotels for insects, managing wastewater and waste, the Smithy Apartment is designed based on sustainability principles.

The apartment is suitable for families. There is plenty of space in front of the house for safe and carefree play. It is only a 10-minute drive away from the water park in the Thermana Wellness Center in Laško, as well as Aqua Roma swimming pool and the Roman baths in Rimske Toplice. In the surrounding area, there are numerous cycling and hiking trails, as well as other interesting experiences. Laško is also a gastronomic destination, as it is home to one of the best restaurants in Slovenia, Restaurant Pavus.

The Smithy Apartment (Kovačnica) is located in the village of Tevče, 5.6 km away from Laško. The accommodation features a covered terrace with access to a green lawn, a seating area, an outdoor grill, a flat-screen satellite TV, free WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and a dishwasher, an indoor fireplace, and a private bathroom with a bidet and toiletries. A microwave, stovetop, toaster, coffee machine and kettle are also available.

Parking is provided in the garage, where there is also storage space for bicycles, or in the parking area in front of the apartment (parking is free).
