“Unfortunately our reason for visiting the area was a family funeral, but we could not have been happier with our stay at Chateau Monroe. The hosts thought of literally everything, and when you’re traveling with small children (and dogs), having what you need after a long drive is priceless. Chateau Monroe was spotless, and so cozy and we loved the modern and industrial decor and touches. It’s obvious a lot of thought and love was put into this home. “Cute remodel of an older home in the town of Olney, IL. Quiet neighborhood with friendly folks. The host was very responsive (like immediately!) to questions as well a minor issue of logging into the streaming TV services. Speaking of which, there are very nice, large flat-screen TVs in every bedroom (3) and living room, which was greatly appreciated during March Madness. The house has a few quirks, but very comfortable and cozy, with everything you need for a few nights or even a longer stay.”

“We loved our two-night stay at Leslie's place during the 2024 eclipse. There was ample room across the three bedrooms and two baths. We enjoyed hanging out over the breakfast table and in the living room and especially on the large screened back porch (where we watched a lightning storm!). House was inviting and immaculate, and the neighborhood was tranquil and peaceful.”

“I had a great stay at this home in Palestine, IL. My husband, cousins and I stayed here while in town for a memorial. The house was very clean, the kitchen was very well stocked, and there were plenty of beds, linens, and space to spread out. Communication with the host was great. We were even able to bring our dog along with us for the trip! I would highly recommend this place if you ever need a rental in the Robinson area.”

“Great location. House is roomy with lots of activity areas. Sleeps 8 but hard to feed 8 (only 5 glasses, 7 mugs, fewer forks than spoons and knives). We had room to spread out and really enjoyed the eclipse while we were there.”

“My daughter and I booked a room from April 6 - 9...3 nights. We had an amazing stay. The front desk was very helpful, staff friendly and accommodating. They were awesome answering any questions we had, The breakfast was excellent!!! The hotel was clean, spotless in fact. We would definitely stay here again. We didn't bring our dog but this hotel is pet friendly. Extra points!”

“The good. Room looked as advertised in pictures within Hotels.com app. Room was clean. Front desk attendants were polite, and helpful. Parking was great. Texas Roadhouse was walkable. I will visit again. The bad. Cell phone reception on first floor was bad, and I don't trust public WiFi. Curtains would not meet which caused a one inch gap. This is a issue because I sleep during the day. I had to get some duct tape from my truck to overlap curtains and tape together. Also there is a Arby's……
