Experiencing Authentic Provence

This is a nice, well-stocked property. It is remote, so be sure to get clear directions prior to arrival and be prepared to drive to nearby towns for provisions. If you are not fluent in French, take care to get clear instructions prior to arrival. The drive to the property is uneven, and our rental car suffered damages for which we were assessed fees upon return. Parking is some distance from the apartment. As English speakers, we had excellent communication with the owner throughout the booking process and up to our arrival. However, the individual who met us was not at all fluent in English, and we were not able to understand many of the instructions she provided. That said, we enjoyed beautiful sunsets, strolls through the olive groves and vineyards, and a warm fire in the evening.

Belle demeure pour des gens sans chiens

La maison, ou disons plutôt l'appartement, est accessible par des escaliers dans un patio. L'appartement est très propre, chic, moderne, tout en restant dans le flair de la Provence. Il sentait bon à l'intérieur et il y avait de tout, les draps, serviettes,.. étaient fournis. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et nous demandaient si rien ne manquaient. Cependant ils devraient mettre dans l'annonce que la terrasse, qui appartient à la maison des propriétaires à côté, et la piscine étaient à partager avec les propriétaires, un autre point négatif, dû peut-être à la sécheresse, était la pelouse jaune et dûre et pleine de petites boules piquantes qui se fixaient dans la fourrure des chiens et qu'on a dû couper avec les ciseaux. Peut-être qu'il faudrait arroser la pelouse le soir en temps de sécheresse. On n'a pas pu laisser les chiens dans le patio à cause du chat. Mais on a fait beaucoup de belles excursions dans les environs.

Un ancien domaine magnifiquement situé, avec sa petite chapelle, offre une vue imprenable sur le château du Barroux et l'abbaye Sainte-Madeleine. Idéal pour des randonnées à pied ou à vélo autour du Mont Ventoux, des Dentelles de Montmirail et des petits villages du Vaucluse. Nous nous sommes sentis très à l'aise et avons pu nous détendre grâce au calme, au cadre verdoyant, à la magnifique maison, à la piscine, à la belle terrasse (aidée par les visites de Nelson le chat)… et le Mont Ventoux est visible de presque partout…

Belle demeure dans un cadre idyllique

Cet ancien prieuré a un charme fou. Les pièces ont grandes et la décoration typique. Bien situé, il permet de rayonner dans cette magnifique région. Nous avons également pu profiter de la piscine au milieu des oliviers, avec la vue sur le château du Barroux. Nos deux chiens ont également énormément apprécié ce séjour. Quelques aménagements ou rafraîchissements sont à prévoir. Informée, la propriétaire a pris nos remarques très au sérieux, ce que nous avons apprécié. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de notre semaine à St-Jean.

Zwischen Olivenhainen und Weinbergen

Wir haben die Zeit in dem schönen Haus sehr genossen! Die Ruhe und die wunderbare echt provencalische Umgebung mit Olivenbäumen, Weinbergen, Zypressen, Pinien, Feigen- und Mandelbäumen, dazu der gepflegte große Pool - sowohl wir als auch unsere Hunde fühlten sich sehr wohl. Wir wurden schriftlich im Voraus über Weg- und Schlüsselfindung informiert, leider stimmten die Angaben zum Finden des W-Lan-Codes nicht, und wir mussten die angegebene Kontaktperson bemühen, die dann aber spät noch kam, um uns zu helfen. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, zumal man die Terrassen, den Innenhof und den Pool zur alleinigen Verfügung hatte! Wir haben es sehr genossen, Georg und Sabine

Herrliche Ruhe und Erholung

Wir waren für 14 Tage Gast in diesem schönen Haus und hatten das große Anwesen für uns zur alleinigen Nutzung. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr freundlich von einer Bekannten Veroniques empfangen, die uns alles zeigte. Ein Willkommensgruß von Veronique, stand für uns auf dem Tisch. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und in der Küche ist alles vorhanden, was man so braucht. Ganz toll ist der Gas-Webergrill auf der Terrasse, auf dem wir so manches Essen gezaubert haben. Diverse Sitzecken machen es leicht, zu jeder Tageszeit ein Plätzchen in der Sonne oder auch im Schatten zu finden. Auch der Pool ist sehr schön, durch den Roboter und die Poolabdeckung sehr gepflegt und sauber. Auch wenn wir es nicht gebraucht haben, möchte ich es erwähnen: Für Familien mit Kindern ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was benötigt wird. Angefangen vom Hochstuhl, Kinderbett, Wanne bis hin zu diversen Spielsachen, einschließlich Holzeisenbahn und Kicker. Im Außenbereich gibt eine Schaukel und ein Trampolin. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Haus nur empfehlen.

Très chouette vacances passées au Barroux. La maison est très bien équipée pour les jeunes enfants tant en commodités qu'en loisir. Elle profite également d'une belle vue sur la campagne et le village du Barroux, je recommande vivement. Provence, nature, farniente, piscine; je recommande vivement.

plezierig verblijf, maar overschaduwd door problemen met de installaties

het huis is ruim ingericht en zeer rustig gelegen. Maximale privacy wanneer de andere delen van het complex niet zijn bezet. Helaas waren er enkele problemen met de zwembadinstallatie. Volstrekt onterecht meende de eigenaar dat wij die veroorzaakt zouden hebben (gevolgd door een ongespecificeerde schadeclaim). De contacten hierover hebben een nare bijsmaak achtergelaten.

Wir waren rundum glücklich! Angefangen mit der Lage des Objekts bis hin zu seiner Ausstattung!

Wir waren freudig überrascht als wir am Ende der Schotterstraße vor diesem schönen Gebäude standen. Die Fotos in der Beschreibung können nicht wiedergeben wie sehr wir jeden Tag die 1a Aussicht vom Pool aus genossen haben! Wer wie wir einen Ausgangspunkt zum Radfahren, Klettern und Wandern sucht liegt hier genau richtig. Im Gebäude haben wir nichts vermisst, ok das WLAN könnte besser sein aber ansonsten haben wir nichts vermisst. Der Kontakt zu Veronique war sehr freundlich und gut, alle unsere Fragen wurden umgehend beantwortet. Fazit: Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Tres belle propriété

Le lieu est très idyllique. Nous avons eu la chance de ne pas avoir de grosse chaleur. Le prieure st Jean est une belle demeure de caractère. Beaucoup de possibilité de promenades aux alentours. La piece principale est agréable et reste fraiche (meme sans utiliser l'air conditionne).

Très beau mas au calme avec un environnement superbe et reposant ainsi qu'une magnifique vue

Nous avons été dépaysés dans ce magnifique mas, le calme et la vue nous ont séduit ainsi que les infrastructures pour les enfants (bac à sable à l'ombre d'un Olivier, balançoire originale, petites terrasses pour les repas,...). Le jardin d'oliviers est sensationnel, le son des criquets et la piscine très agréable. Ce fut un plaisir de pendre notre linge de fin de semaine au soleil. Ces petits bonheurs de la vie qui nous ramènent à l'essentiel. Les alentours sont riches (Crestet, Bédouin, Vaison, Le Barroux, L'abbaye,...) Merci pour cette découverte.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour: - Très bon contact et précisons utiles avant notre arrivée - La maison est bien équipée et parfaitement fidèle aux photos - L’espace extérieur et la piscine sont magnifiques et très au calme Pour un séjour encore plus parfait, 2 améliorations possibles : l’accès à la lumière pour la terrasse et la piscine, et des coussins pour les transats de la piscine. Magnifique propriété au cœur des oliviers et des vignes, à la fois isolée mais proche de tout. Le point de départ idéal pour découvrir la région et les alentours du Mont Ventoux. Logement de charme, bien équipé, belle terrasse ombragée. Belle piscine avec beaux panoramas. Le temps s'arrête durant une semaine...Accueil sympathique.
