I think he said it best when he mentioned that it was basically camping on a boat. I would highly recommend taking the option to rent the dinghy for transportation to and from the boat. “We enjoyed 2 nights camping on water, away from people, among a handful of other boats, very generously distanced. It’s quiet and peaceful in a mangrove alcove, a 5 minute dinghy ride between the boat and main campground dock, bathrooms, shower, laundry, parking. Get the dinghy. “My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay on the Bonne Vie (which means "Good Life" in French). It was the good life for us - he was able to fish off the back and I read books on the front of the boat. When it got too hot we could jump in the water to cool off! There are lots of great restaurants to try in Key Largo and we took a cooler of snacks for the boat. “Great property, great host, great location, mattresses need an upgrade. The queens/doubles need replacing. They're fine if you only have one person per bed, but they sag in the middle otherwise. There are a few things that need some additional work on the property (caulking replacement in a few locations, for example) so if you're a snob you might be offended, but the minor maintenance issues were not a reflection of the cleanliness, which was excellent. “Very close to FIU and just a short drive to Little Havana and Coconut Grove. The only thing that happened that I didn't like is the refrigerator was set too low in temperature and my food froze, but this is an easy fix for the property manager. Otherwise, the apartment was adorable in nice neighborhood. ”

“This was a great property for the night we needed with a large group before our cruise. There is no way we could have rented hotel rooms cheaper! The only down fall was how firm the beds were. I like a firm mattress but these were extremely firm. It wouldn’t stop me from staying here again though.”

We rented a kayak and paddle boards from a place in Islamarada. They delivered and picked up. Getting food was a bit of an expected challenge so plan accordingly. Would definitely rent again.”
