「The Highland cows were very cute. It would be nice if there was information about the cows, like names and ages. There were weeds in the plant pots in front of the cabin - would be nice if they were flowers! The bed was very soft but that’s just my opinion. The cabin was very quiet and the scenery was wonderful! Parking was easy. Location was good - parked at Newcraighall park and ride and took the train into Edinburgh!」

「We checked in late & were made to feel inconvenient, the kitchen closed long before we arrived which wasn’t the best welcome after long travel. We also left a laptop charger & staff were not very solution orientated and didn’t help us find a way to retrieve the forgotten item.」

「We stayed for weekend friday to sunday. The Hotel is a traditional scottish village hotel doubling as village pub, with an old fashioned layout including a seperate entrance for the bar. So to use the bar you actually leave the hotel and re enter the bar. Some will find that quaint and charming The room was comfortable, clean and warm and everything worked. 「I had a very nice stay at the Open Arms Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and made me feel at home. The room was first class with a view over the village green and very comfortable. The lounge area with the open fire is lovely and relaxing being able to have a pre- dinner drink and review the menu. It was a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be returning again in the very near future.」

「The building looks lovely from the outside, however there was some niggling problems, no staff to meet and greet or issue keys and rooms, just email instructions to use door key fob for access to the building and rooms, quite steep stairs especially for us who struggle with stairs, in my room, the toilet seat was loose to sit on, single bed wasn't very comfortable and duvet barely covered the bed」
