“The house is very well cared for, with all the comfort and utensils necessary for a family vacation stay, without missing anything. We found the house very clean and smelly! The bed linen and towels smelly and very clean. The air conditioning on both the lower and upper floors is very powerful! Communication with both Deborah and Steve was always very fast, clear, fluid and were always super attentive. It will certainly be a house that we will rent again!”

“Lovely spacious property and garden. Well equipped for our needs. Close to shops and cafe/bars and easy walking to beach only a few minutes away. Nice quiet area. Would definitely book again but would need to have wi-fi in place first. It was a little difficult without it trying to plan days out and ordering taxi. Also for checking in for return flight. We had to keep going to a cafe with wi-fi to do what we needed to do on the Internet. The lady who looks after the property is very welcoming……

“Das wunderschön (am Ende einer 4 km langen Schotterstrecke, die eine sehr vorsichtige Fahrweise erforderlich macht) gelegene Haus mutet wie eine historische Finca an, ist aber durch Solarenergie-Versorgung auch in neuzeitlicher Weise nutzbar. Sehr freundliche und hilfreiche Betreuung vor Ort! Wunderbar ruhig, "lauteste" Anwohner waren die Tauben auf der anderen Flußseite.”

“Ik zou hier maar met 6 personen + 1 kind verblijven. Wij waren met 8 volwassenen en 1 tiener. In de kelder is 1 slaapkamer, maar deze heeft geen raam/geen frisse lucht. Op 2de verdieping zijn 3 mooie slaapkamers 2 met balkon en 1 met badkamer er gelijk naast. Op deze verdieping is nog 1 badkamer. Op 1ste verdieping 1 slaapkamer met slaapbank, badkamer, woonkamer en keuken. Wasmachine nodig om zelf de handdoeken te wassen, bij aankomst zijn bedden opgemaakt en liggen er voor iedereen 2……

“A wonderful place in the middle of nature, perfect to slow down... Despite a very hot week with over 40 degrees at times, it was easy to stay on the shady terrace during the day with a little wind. In the mornings and evenings I can recommend to use the available kayak. As this is a tidal river you can even use the current to paddle upstream very comfortably and explore the Guadiana and its wonderful flora & fauna. Time seems to have stood still here. The shepherd's house with indoor and outdoor……

“Das Haus hat alles was man braucht, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Von der Übergabe durch das überaus freundliche Ehepaar Agostinho und Maria, sie sprechen auch deutsch bis zum letzten Tag hat alles gepasst. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer war sehr freundlich. Natürlich benötigt man ein Auto, fußläufig gibt es keine Geschäfte, aber mit dem Auto hat man alles so im Umkreis von 5-10 Autominuten. Wir haben uns jedenfalls sehr wohl gefühlt und alles verlief reibungslos, so wie man es……

“The house was very clean when we arrived, felt superb immediately. Un fortunately the weather was a bit cloudy, but not a great deal. All the things you need are available once you arrive. The beach is in walking distance and calm (maybe because is was a bit cold). We enjoyed every minute of our stay! Communication with Andrew was spot on and prompt! Maybe the bathroom on the ground floor could get an upgrade, but it was still functional! We will return, that's for sure!”

“We stayed here with our extended Portuguese family for a long overdue reunion and ot was all great. A few little issues to start with, very promptly tended to and understandeable for the start of season. A great house, with all the necessary facilities. Well equipped, well located. Only a short walk to the beach and a quick 7 to 10 minute drive to any supermarket you choose. Very short drive to the Monte Gordo village with good restaurants and great walking paths along the beach. Overall an……
