The location alone is hard to beat and perfectly positioned with easy access to the Beauregard ski lift and surrounded by some of the most beautiful alpine scenery imaginable. “Very quaint and homey, perfect for two travelers looking for a cheap stay near the Chamonix area. Fabienne and the rest of the staff were kind and accommodating, evidenced by them working with us when we encountered bus and flight delays. Rooms were cleaned daily. Additionally, you have the option to pay the first day you arrive or the last (if you plan on taking advantage of the hotel breakfast, it’s easier to pay upon checking out). Would stay again if we decide to journey out to Chamonix.……

“Great staff, especially Roman and Lucy at Reception. They were so welcoming and offered great tips for dining and parking around Chamonix during UMTB week. I wouldn’t recommend staying here without a car since it’s a little off the beaten path, but it was a great home base for our trip. ”

“Fint hotel, veldig sentralt. Greit å få avklart på forhånd ang.tidlig utsjekk. Vi ville forlate hotellet før kl.8, men måtte betale turistskatt. Det var ingen som kunne ta i mot betalingen, de som jobbet i resepsjonen var ikke der. Det ordnet seg, men tok litt tid å få det avklart. Ellers fint med basseng og matbutikk rett over veien. ”

“Four years ago, we stayed at the Hotel Les Grands Montets as part of our Tour du Mont Blanc ten-day trek. We had two nights there as we prepared for our last two legs of hiking on our trek. Unfortunately, poor weather did not permit us to take the preferred route to the Lac Blanc -- wind and precipitation made that leg too dangerous. We did an alternate route. We decided to complete the Lac Blanc section one day. This year, we completed that leg of the trip under excellent weather……
