“We had a wonderful time here in Monopoli. The room was wonderful and in the perfect location close to the old city. The owners were very friendly and helpful, offering suggestions for local restaurants and bars. Breakfast was wonderful! Highly recommend basing yourself in Monopoli to explore nearby towns in Puglia. We really enjoyed Monopoli town itself, charming and lots to offer”

“I very rarely leave a bad review but I received no response from the owner for two months. We booked the luxury room costing over £100 per night. This was not a luxury room, it had no windows and no wardrobe / drawers to put our clothes away in except 4 hangers on a rope. Our bathroom bin wasn't cleaned properly each day, so I had to ask for it to be emptied and we also woke up to cockroaches in the room. The luxury room is in the basement, so feels really damp especially as we were unable to……

Upon arrival we found the keybox and there was 5 unmarked keys so you had to guess which was for each door. Steep narrow steps with low head room to the floor where apartment was. We knew this but if you are tall and have large suitcases certainly not ideal. Initial inspection looked good although a bit smaller than the photos suggested. Des matériaux étaient visible un peu partout sur le domaine, les chiens aux pattes boueuses marchaient partout sur notre terrasse et sur nos chaises extérieures, etc. Toutefois, nous avons eu une belle expérience et le personnel a été plus que gentil en tout temps. “This is an old resort that is dirty not maintained. Be careful as they will upcharge you a resort club fee of $40 a night to so called use the pool and the lounge chair by the pool but you still have to pay $10 per chair on their beach. We booked a room with kitchen and we got one without as they were over sold. And huge thing there is no WiFi!!!”

“It was just an Ok property. Location is good. Breakfast was far away and not very good. Street was very loud, because it was right in the middle of town. Beach far away. No windows. Poor ventilation. Staff was good. I would not go back, though. There was no telephone to call when I arrived. I asked nearby and they told me to go to the next location and ask. I had to call for the staff to come and help me. All very confusing.”

“The property was nice and clean, very charming. However don't expect lots of amenities, there are only an empty fridge, a stove and a TV. Free Wi-Fi too. There is no cookware or dishes of any kind. The manager was quick to respond my questions and friendly.”

“Had a lovely stay here - sadly the weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get the use the pool or loungers but we really enjoyed the impressive breakfast and beautiful surroundings. It’s a short drive to neighbouring towns and the peace was a nice contrast in the evenings. You have the option of eating at the Masseria which also makes things easier if you do not have a car.”

“Amazing staff with great local recommendations. Property was spotless, welcome water upon arrival. Perfectly located to stay in Poliagno A Mare. We had a rental car and left it at the train station for ease, only a quick 4 minute walk to the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.”
