  • Welcome to 'Ruru', a near new family home just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful gentle Ligar Bay beach.

    Two bedrooms with queen beds and a queen sofa bed in the third bedroom. A comfy lounge, dining area and modern kitchen make up the open plan living area

    Ligar Bay beach is wonderful for swimming, children, paddle boarding, kayaking or just hanging out at. There's good fishing too!

    There are owls roosting nearby, kea often fly overhead and many birds singing.

Excellent home away from home

After an initial mix up with the lock box, we entered a beautiful yet simple home which was perfect for our family of four. The kids had a bedroom each, ours was down the other end of the house with an ensuite. The kitchen was well equipped and allowed you to be part of the main house goings-on due to it's location. We really loved staying at Ruru. During the 3 minute walk to the beach, we made friends with some local horses who loved a good scratch on the neck. These became quite a highlight of our stay! I would (and have) recommend this accommodation to anyone looking in this area.
