“Simple studio cottage in a quiet rural area near the charming and historic town of Lismore. Convenient distance from Waterford and coastal towns, as well as more inland towns of Cahir and Cashel. Friendly host Emil provided a comprehensive list of sights for day trips, restaurants and events, and instructions for the property. Good walking trails from both cottage and Lismore.”

“Although the host resides in tha U.S. he was very helpful via telephone. His caretaker bent over backwards to make our stay wonderful. A visit to Blarney Castle, the Jameson Whiskey Distillery and the Waterford Crystal Factory were the highlights of our stay. We would definitely stay there again. Dave and June”

“Renting Robert’s home was the perfect one week vacation experience for my family and I. Robert and his wife had prepared an incredibly thoughtful welcome package with delicious local foods. So our first evening in their home was relaxed and we did not have to go out for dinner. Robert had been in touch with me from when I made the reservation and was in touch with me several days in advance to go through all the details to make sure nothing was left to chance. “Windows were dirty and there were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. The internet did not work in the two bedrooms on the bottom floor. It was hard to lock and unlock the front door. Other than that it was okay.”

“We stayed at the Historic Hideaway for two nights with another couple. The apartment was clean and well decorated and we loved the exposed stone walls. We weren’t going to attempt getting the car into the drive, but we were able to find parking on the street with a parking disc. Since we were away most of the daytime hours, this never presented an issue (though we knew of the nearby parking garage, if we needed it.) The host also had great local recommendation. We would definitely stay here……
