First of all! It was 4 days before you ever reached out to anyone and said anything about any complaints. Next you NEVER responded back to us or to vrbo. We sent video evidence of the things you claimed were wrong with the house, I sent an outside contractor by after you left and they literally laid in the floor and took photos to show the floors were not unlevel Both showers worked in the home and video was sent to vrbo. The roach you’re talking about is what they call a water roach and could if came in at any time, the house is in deep east texas in the woods on the lake. As far as the beds and the bedding being dirty or stained. We are sorry if the beds were not to your liking but out of 8 beds you could not of found one that would work??? Vrbo is the one that told us to cancel your reservation after opening 2 cases, ( we opened 2 cases) because you refused to respond to them or us. They are also the one that told us that we could call the police if you did not leave, we no longer knew what your intentions were with our property, and could not even tell us if you wanted to leave or not. You were upset because it took us a couple hours to respond because we were at an event, and did not know to keep checking our phones because this was day 4 and NOT ONCE DID YOU REACH OUT AND VOICE ANY CONCERNS. We had several people in the house and not one person could smell what you were smelling or stating that you smelled. It could of been the neighbors aerobic system need cholorine I do not know. But we were advised to cancel you and you are upset vrbo did not side with you after we sent in more than enough evidence we were not in the wrong, in this. If you not let us know we can not try and fix it. Also all communication is done ONLY through the email server so there is no miscommunication.

I am so sorry to hear your review 1.many guest love the gate to keep pets and small children on porch away from lake, since the property is not fenced in. 2. The floors were swept and mopped prior to your arrival and there were no water bugs on floor prior to your arrival, and we do exterminating frequently, that is why they die as soon as they come in the house. Being in the lake there are different bugs. 3. There was a stopper for bathtub, it must have been misplaced 4. We have no control over the way the water control is in the shower, but there was hot water, just a little opposite than most are used to. 5. The house was built in 1977, therefore the fridges were smaller and did not block the light switches. But we opted to go with a larger nicer fridge and it blocks the switches from being seen, we can not reword the whole house just to accommodate 1 guest. This is an older house as it is stated in the listing, and we show photos of the house, and we firmly believe the price reflects the home.

I feel that this review was left out of anger. You state you did not show up until it was dark, when I have emails from you stating that you showed up at 2:50 pm, so it was not dark when you arrived with an early check in. This property is not marketed to college kids any where in our ad. You were upset after you contacted us 14 hours after you arrival and stated the house was dirty and not to your satisfaction, you were advised you had the owner and housekeepers phone number or you could if emailed us and we would of went there promptly, but I can not send my housekeeper over after you and all your guest have been there for 14 hours. That was not the septic tank leaking it is our grey water tank that was overflowing after all the rain we have gotten, it has since been drained and inspected by the tra and we were told this has been a problem at several properties in the area. There is no furniture in this home that is broken as I have inspected the property several times and have not seen any furniture that is broken. We also stated in our emails that we were sorry to hear that you were unhappy, but you did not contact us the same day with any concerns that you had, waiting 14 hours is not acceptable, to expect us to come and .are right when we can not tell what messes were made by you or not properly cleaned. We are happy to come out immediately if we are notified in a proper time, after your first email we contacted vrbo and they advised us along the same lines.

Thank you for your review: When we got the first email about the couches not being sleeper sofas, why was it NOT told to us then that there were crumbs and bugs? The bugs and roaches you are speaking of are water bugs, we get them in eas ttexas on the lake, we have a bug guy come every 3 months and spray, we have never been told that they were all over the dishes and such as you have stated. Our ad never stated that there were pull out sofas either. We also state this house will ONLY ACCOMMODATE 6 ADULTS AND 6 KIDS,if you had more than that then you did not read the ad very well. Also the washing machine will wash the sheets it is meant for small loads at a time, we wash the sheets in that machine on a regular basis. As far as the "sewage leak" you reported to the tra, it was not a sewage leak at all they came and inspected it and stated our grey water tank had become full due to all the rain we had weeks before. We have since hired a company to empty it, so it will not overflow again. All the sheets were washed the day before you arrived. You emailed 7 hors after you had been there to complain about crumbs and trash and such and we advised you we do not offer daily maid service, as you had been there a few hours with several guest as you had stated and already had been contacted and nothing was said as you were trying to dismantle our couches. Also the showers are treated after every guest as to avoid any mold or mildew in them as they are used quite frequently. We have had our pest guy come spray again and the grey water tank has been taken care of there was no trash or anything under the beds when I inspected property after being cleaned, but my housekeeper let me know the mess that was left behind after you left, and that is ok she took care of it with out any problems.
