“DO NOT STAY! Extremely Unsafe and Unsanitary StayI planned this family Thanksgiving trip for over a year and a half, and this cabin completely ruined our holiday. The property was unsafe, dirty, and absolutely not suitable for guests.Here’s what we experienced:• The cabin was dirty on arrival and had bugs throughout.• A horrible, foul smell came from the bathroom.• The front door didn’t even close or latch properly—major safety issue.• No working fire alarm, which is unacceptable.• The heat……

“I can’t say enough good things about our hosts! They do a wonderful job communicating and paying attention to the little details - like a welcome basket! - in the cottage. Very clean and well cared for. The balcony is amazing to have your coffee and watch the wildlife in the morning. It is not an every day occurrence to see a gator jump out of the water onto the land from across the canal. Very cool to see! A big thank you to our hosts for being so accommodating!”

“Very rustic. There is a big ant bed by the staircase that leads up to the living area. The upstairs floors are so slanted that my suitcase kept rolling into the wall. Some pieces of the wood floor are missing so there are tripping hazards. The bathroom doors don’t close easily so once when I was sitting on the toilet, the door to the main living area just opened on its own due to the slanted floors. One of the bedroom AC units did not cool below 80 degrees. Another bedroom AC unit was……
