「Our accommodation was in a block beside the castle. The window was painted shut, beds were poor, a long walk to toilets and showers and no facilities in the room. The restaurant was closed. I'm ex military and have seen better army barracks.」

There is a nice restaurant attached to the Hotel drinks are expensive but the food is reasonable, not the quickest service but if you are not in a rush it's fine. The bath could do with updating and a plug in the sink didn't fit well (put a flannel round plug fitted ok) Having a lot of work done to the front which will be nice when finished.」

「Food was good, I had one of my favourite meals ham, eggs and chips 😋. Cooked Breakfast, toast, orange juice and cereal available. Room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, I was overlooking the main road but it got really quiet around 11,pm and I slept like a log. Would recommend, good for the price.」

It is conveniently located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park making it ideal to get out and about either walking, hiking, and cycling in the surrounding area. Waterfall country is about a 30 minute drive away. Very friendly and polite staff. Food was on the slightly pricey side but it was excellent quality.
