“4 friends stayed in & enjoyed the cottage. Lovely cosy feel, especially with the fire going. Used the BBQ hut too, lovely idea as can have a BBQ even in the rain - could do with a bit more light in there though as when it got dark cooking would’ve been close to impossible had we not used the torches on our phones. Would defo come back & stay again”

“The cabin was such a special place with the river right at the edge of the garden. We sat out and enjoyed dinner on the platform just next to the water and lit a small fire in the fire pit under the stars. The property was ideal for myself and my two young children (6 and 8, all of us sharing the one room) but would also be great for a couple looking for a getaway in a convenient location for exploring the beautiful surrounding area.”

“Really beautiful property with a great cosy feel to it. The fireplace was great at keeping the house warm and toasty. Kitchen is well stocked and the sound of the stream near by was lovely! The road going up to the property is a bit challenging so something to be mindful of with your vehicle. Very remote but a small village is a 15 minute drive away. The listing says there is a hot tub but they are just regular bath tubs - still great and relaxing! Just no jet element to them.”

“Great open plan living/social space downstairs however upstairs whilst spacious presented its challenges. Too much light in master bedroom during the night from bathroom windows/skylight. Had to turn on the bathroom light when going to the loo waking partner! Separate lights perhaps? Bath towels very small and we are average height /build. A memory foam mattress is not to our liking and the duvet was quite heavy for this time of year. Very well equipped kitchen and social /entertainment……

“A lovely little cottage that had everything you need. We stayed with our two young children. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it, but we have two areas that weren't perfect. Getting the boiler just right took a while. There wasnt enough hot water on our first night, so the kids ended up with a tepid bath and theln in trying to sort that out we set the boiler to come on early in the morning so we could have hot showers - the boiler is noisy and so woke us up very early. “What a fantastic stay to celebrate my Dads 80th Birthday, beautiful house with fabulous views! Kitchen and the whole house was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Booking process seamless we even had a few bizarre queries (recent hip surgery) and nothing was too much trouble! A great home to celebrate with family and friends, perfect location plenty to do within walking distance, we didn’t use the car, as weather not the best but a pleasure to eat, relax and socialise together……

“We were attracted to Ardwyn House after reading the positive reviews. We loved our stay and you wont be dissapointed if you stay, we highly recommend it. Some plus points... clean, fantastic breakfast options, afternoon tea/coffee and delicious cake, brilliant shower, duvet and pillows as comfy as home (I bring a pillow in the car and never used it.) “Warm friendly greeting on arrival. We were shown to our room which was very clean and tidy. The Inn is located in a quite location with little traffic noise. Our evening meal was excellent.
