"Room was clean with an incredible view."

"The view of the room is excellent, facing the sea. We can watch the sunset from our room and recorded a hyperlapse video of the sunset which was magnificent. There was a problem with the shower: only hot water came out. The receptionist came up to address the problem. The plumber was called but could not come until the next day. He gave us the next room for shower, which is very nice of him. The restaurant has good food and service, and the view is also excellent. The building and furnishing are a little old. It will be nice to refurbish the building and rooms. No elevators for upper floors."

"We had a very pleasant stay at The Garrison. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were nicely presented, and the overall atmosphere was much more modern than many hotels in the area. The only downside was the parking situation. There is no dedicated parking, and during our stay there were dumpsters, construction equipment, and machinery nearby due to ongoing work in the area, which made arrival and parking a bit inconvenient. That said, the cleanliness, comfort, and service made for an enjoyable stay. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others visiting the area"

"We were fortunate enough to have a refurbished room, which was very comfortable and clean. The staff on reception, in the bar and restaurant were very efficient and friendly. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, but found it a bit average, the breakfast was good, it was buffet style but had everything you needed. I’d recommend a car if you’re staying here as there are a lot of lovely places around Fort William to explore."

Although the staff were pleasant and the location was convenient I would not recommend it and would never return to stay. "

"Having had quite a difficult journey, the staff at Loch Shiel hotel were utterly superb and went above and beyond for us. Not only were they kind, friendly and so patient but the amenities and room were fantastic. You have not experienced Scottish hospitality until you’ve been to this hotel! Food was delightful and only beaten by their wonderful service. There was a great lively pub down the stairs and the rooms were cosy, clean and so comfy! Couldn’t recommend the Loch Shiel Hotel enough!"
