Fabulous cottage in an idyllic location.

Fabulous cottage in an idyllic location. The cottage is stunning, very spacious, all the comforts of home and more. Very quiet and secluded but so close to Lockerbie for shopping. Great location to explore Dumfries and Galloway. Kate and Max wonderful hosts who are there if needed and value your wish for privacy. Home made goodies as a surprise on arrival was so thoughtful. Tell everyone about Riverside Cottage, you will not be disappointed at all. A paradise for bird watchers and animal lovers. Looking forward to our next visit.

Definitely one of the best holidays ever! The cottage was clean, modern and very welcoming.

Definitely one of the best holidays ever! The cottage was clean, modern and very welcoming. The kids had a great week up and down on their bikes, it was an added bonus not having to worry about passing traffic while they were outside playing. Kate and Max were away while we stayed but I was well informed from Kate via phone and email of the arrangements. The cottage is in a beautiful tiny peaceful village, that has so many places to walk and explore. Tesco came on our first afternoon there with a delivery, which i would definitely recommend as the shops are a few miles away (which does not personally bother me). We would love to return in the summertime. Thankyou once again for a wonderful stay. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The only negative was the Wi-fi was a little weak and would recommend a signal booster, but that’s being ultra picky as we where out most of the day anyway. Would highly recommend staying here. A Haven of peace

Nothing was to much for the owners. Felt completely at ease with them both. My husband is not a well man ,and it was so resurring knowing we could call on them if needed. The bungalow and scenery was more much more than we could have wished for .Outstanding

Riverside cottage is located in a peaceful setting overlooking the nearby river, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. A large picture window in the open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge makes the most of the scenery & enables you to watch the local wildlife go by. The cottage also has a sun room with patio doors that open out onto an outside eating area & next to the river is a strategically placed bench so you can sit and enjoy a cuppa. We had an excellent week there, helped by the spectacular weather. Lots of extras were included, a generous welcome basket, toiletries & topped up bird feeders to name but a few. The beds were comfortable & the cottage was warm & cosy. Highly recommended.
