This is not an accommodation this is an Oven! You can’t open the windows fully in the London heat wave, they have no air circulation in their flats, and they give one tiny table top fan for a studio. Staying in there is like an oven. On top that that the staff who manages the building do not care about you. I asked them three times to either open the windows fully fully or provide an extra fan, and they said they’ll get back to me with no reply. This is a student accommodation that they’re renting out in off peak period, but as I said it’s an oven where oven providers do not care about you

Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they allowed us to place our baggage into a locked storage area before check-in time. Help available at the front desk from 8am to 8pm only, other just a security guard present at other times. The room was tidy and clean, yet remained extremely hot due to the lack of air-conditioning in the heatwave. The window only opened down by about an inch and there was barely any circulation despite the fan on maximum. The included fridge was a lifesaver. No bin inside the room, and there were no clear instructions where the disposal hop was. A few basic toiletries, which were not enough if staying for more than a few days, which you could not get from the front disk directly and needed to order through another supplier through email, which is inconvenient. Plenty of dining options nearby, and very close to Hammersmith station.

The few good things are that it was furnished and everything worked in the kitchen. Also, there was a decent outdoor seating area and two free-use rooms that had AC. however, the bad outweighs the good. ○ unclean silverware; we cleaned everything before use ○ window barely opened at the top, leaving the fan as the best option for cooling; still extremely poor, and most of the time our room was usually hotter than the outside temp no matter what we did, leading to terrible sleep and consistent dehydration • really stuffy room • black mold just outside the window ○ really confusing room management; separate from the main student housing there ○ some staff members' English was hard to understand ○ we had our fire alarm go off three times during a single night: two shorter events after 11pm and one 10-20 second one after midnight. we were told it was sensing smoke but we cooked probably 5 hours before and had used the range hood. ○ most of the inside doors are heavy and slam shut (loudly). a select few cabinets in our room didn't slam ○ laundry is like £8+ for one load. in America, $5 already feels like a rip-off ○ the bathroom drain didn't drain well, so even a 5-min shower left you standing in a deep puddle. also no fan in there, so the bathroom made the main room feel like a breath of fresh air This is the only place we stayed at in London. Hopefully other accomodations across the city are better, because pigs seem to have better living conditions in China.
