Dated but cute, pool dated. Driveway in poor condition and very rutted with deep potholes. Every staff member friendly and helpful. Food truck very much needed because there’s not any restaurants or coffee shops within walking distance. Food good enough and not crazy expensive. Won’t be on our return list.

The Edgewater Lodge will serve some well but I personally would not stay there again. Points: (a) It took nearly ½ hour to check in due to short staffing. (b) ‘Standard Room w/ 2 Beds’ layout and structure were good. [Rooms 1-8 are similar floor plans.] (c) The view, looking over the sea toward the Everglades, is great. (d) The room walls are concrete, thus soundproof. But I had neighbors blasting nightclub-volume Latin pop and hip-hop (and jet skis revving in donuts) outside their lodge rooms for much of each day despite the printed no-noise rules. (e) Rooms gets a B for cleanliness/ maintenance (clean enough but furniture and walls were a bit soiled/banged up). (f) The bathroom door is one of those modern “sliding barn-doors” that did not always stay closed when slid into place. Bathroom shower was mostly unable to produce hot water, only lukewarm. (g) Balconies of rooms 1-8 face N-NW, so daytime sun exposure is limited until ~1pm [in March] but there is a beautiful sunset view; you can also sit in a chair in front of your front door for morning sun. (h) Room AC (12,000 BTU ComfortStar) was very good; there was also a ceiling fan. (i) Front-door lock uses an old-style metal key; hopefully no one made a copy! The room’s front door has no peephole. (j) TV is quite old (Standard-Def?) and requires 2 remotes to operate (the key to set-up is to set the Source to “HDMI”). All in all, the Lodge was a fair value since any lodging around here is pricey.

I had booked a king room with water view which we did get,however pictures are not like showed bathroom was dingy looking not at all as pictures . We contacted front desk they said the room we booked was already booked but could give us a similar with 2 double beds however and did not compensate any $ .We contacted expedia and they gave us a small refund ,as they spoke to property which refused to do anything for them .I guess better than nothing .This property needs a lot of updating, driveway awfull ,patio on deck paint peeled ever where everything looks like let go .Whoever staff very friendly but have no control on these items .

The room was not what we wanted. It smelled like the old cooking oil they use at the restaurant on the premises. They put us on the second floor with old chairs to sit on outside. While sitting out on the walkway it smelled like human urine. The inside was dirty the table looks like it has not been cleaned ever. The pand and utensils gad grease on them aka dirty. We asked to be moved to a room that cost less and that was a no can do. .

The best hotel in all of the Keys. Your room is right on the water, a barbecue place on premises with outdoor tiki hut, and sports tv. There is a pier for fishing, or dock your boat. Rooms were clean and updated. Staff was accommodating to our requests. It is a very well maintained property. It was also an unusually cold night 53 degrees during our visit and no heat in rooms. Owner should have portable heaters available. I would highly recommend.

The room was very clean and perfect right on the water! We loved having our own private deck to sit out on to look at the water. Shower was clean. Only thing I’d change or recommend is to give more pillows on the bed!

Our room had a deck right on the water and you could hear the waves, so relaxing! That was surely the highlight of the property who has been upgraded but still has some areas in distress, therefore the price for the service was a bit high (but we stayed on Christmas week). The bbq and pizza restaurant on site is definitely a plus, great food at reasonable price.

La habitación tenía una vista increíble se admiten mascotas aunque no lleve pero fue increíble todo no hay necesidad de salir de la propiedad ya que tiene restaurante y en el gate donde se hace check in -out hay bebidas para escoger también hay un local donde vendes carnada si quiere pescar y rentan jeski por hora o por días como lo desees

Room was clean. Bathroom was modern. Beds are soft, but comfortable. Check-in was efficient. Beach access was disappointing as there was no direct access from our room. Priced affordably.
