“Lovely old fashioned room with a large single bed. Very comfortable bed and an ensuite shower room. All the staff were lovely and friendly and breakfast was delicious. I booked the hotel to use as a base to attend 3 race meetings. Cheltenham on the way up, Liverpool on day 2 and nearby Bangor-on-Dee on day 3. It worked out perfectly and I was even able to visit Wrexham as well, so no complaints from me. ”

“Great location. The hotel is almost next door to the railway station. The room is clean, warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that there is no lift and the staircase is very narrow, which made carrying four suitcases upstairs a real challenge.”

“The Burlton Inn was excellent for our needs, being halfway home from Southampton to our home for an overnight stop. The pub itself was very attractive, and the local beer was rally good. The accomodation was fine. The rooms were in an adjacent cottage style annexe, just across the large car park. The choice of evening meals was wide, and the food was good. Breakfast was continental only, but very healthy. Would we stay there again? YES! ”

“A little remote, but in a nice environment. Nice and cosy, and run by a old couple. The only drawback for an overall top marks is because of the shower, although it is newly installed, it is difficult to operate and the water pressure is somewhat too low to have a nice shower. The worst part is the wall inside the shower cubicle is dirty but consider the old couple are working hard to run the hotel and also the nice letters restaurants, so it is not a complaint, just would like to point it……

“The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel and decor looked luxurious and 5 star worthy. Would definitely stay here again. It’s very close to the town centre and train station so a very convenient location. ”
