「We had a large 5 family group celebrating the end of our homeschool year learning about CA history. This was a perfect central location for that! We visited Sutter's Fort, Sutter's Mill, The Capital, RR Museum, Gold Bug Mine & downtown Placerville. The house was perfect for the families with kids that ranged from 1.5 to 16y. 「We recently spent 17 days at Back of the Moon Cottage while I was recovering from major back surgery. We live over 3 hours from Marshall Hospital where my surgery was performed so I couldn't return home right away. The Cottage was the perfect place for us to stay. It was very clean and very quiet. Kim and Seth were amazing and always available for anything we needed. It was a wonderful experience staying there.」

「I would highly recommend this place, it is wonderful house full of spaces for kids and family members to relax and enjoy. The kids loved the pool and the living area downstairs while us adults were able to relax in the kitchen area and backyard areas downstairs.
The host was very accommodating to our needs and would quickly respond to inquiries.
I would highly recommend staying here and I plan to again. 」
